  1. They deserve 1000 miscues after Game 2 and even then we might not be even until it happens in the playoffs
  2. Idiots ran on Barger TWICE that inning
  3. I think the offense can get to Woo and/or their tired bullpen So if Francis can keep the top 4 in check while avoiding a fluky 2 or 3 run homer from 5-9 (no guarantee with Francis) we will win
  4. Not sure why Barger is hitting 6th and Roden is hitting 9th but whatever it looks fine otherwise
  5. Losing due to not scoring runs is frustrating. Blowing a game because of the bullpen is infuriating.
  6. This series won't be easy. They are throwing three good starters at us and we are using our bottom 3 against them. The good news is that they leaned on their relievers heavily in their series against the Reds. They used 7 of 8 relievers yesterday and 4 of them (including their CL and both setup men) have pitched 2 days in a row now. We have a fresh pen after yesterday's day off.
  7. They actually added over 70 million in payroll this offseason lol. Oneill: 16.5 AAV and the only multi-year deal Morton: 15 mil Sugano: 13 mil Kittredge: 10 mil Gary Sanchez: 8.5 Mil Kyle Gibson: 5.25 mil Laureano: 4 mil Not a lot to show for 72.5 mil. Some of those are complete head scratchers.
  8. Well we won 91, 92, 89 and 74 games the past 4 seasons and not a single poster wanted the front office back after last year so I'm going to go ahead and rate this post as false Anything less than wanting to send Ross Atkins to a guillotine gets you labeled a huge supporter around here
  9. I haven't read anything. I guess Lukes could simply be coming back from the paternity list?
  10. When Varsho comes back I'd like to see the following: LF: Roden starts and Straw spells him vs some lefties. 3B: Clement with one of Wagner or Barger, whoever is hitting better, the other gets sent to AAA for everyday ABs. That leaves one more spot and it will truly be a bench spot. Lukes can keep it warm but he's not a great fit as another lefty OF bat. Stefanic isn't on the 40 man but I kind of like the idea of adding him. He's been playing SS in Buffalo.
  11. Thanks spats. Your scouting report tracks some of the critical posts I've seen on Twitter. He's a polished 22 year old facing worse competition than he did in college. He's 65% fastballs right now and that pitch which will get hammered in MLB unless his velo picks up. He throws his slider the most after that but it's got insanely low spin rates.
  12. Take a peek at the GDTs. We could win 100 games and the World Series and the village idiots will find something to complain about.
  13. I'm thinking a 14 year extension to align with Vlad's
  14. Mariners reshuffled some things so it's going to be Woo, Gilbert and Castillo this weekend. Offense needs to be on their A-game.
  15. Jomboy proves Vlad didn't leave early on that call in Baltimore. What a terrible call by that umpire.
  16. Presented without comment: Kylometres Straw = 0.5 WAR Roki Sasaki = 0 WAR
  17. Is it too early to be perusing the 5-13 Braves roster for possible trade deadline additions? Chris Sale would fit into our playoff rotation just fine
  18. Feeling pretty good about the upcoming Mariners series We will face Castillo and Gilbert on 2 of the days but they need to come up with a plan for the other game They also don't have any off days as they play Cincy today and tomorrow and then the Jays in TO on Friday. So we will have a fresh pen and they won't.
  19. They'll probably just ride Clement and Wagner until the trade deadline Maybe Barger could factor in here
