  1. Lol Real Life Celebrity Roy Firestone actually created his own thread for that. I thought it was just a post he made.
  2. Because when you throw those big ass cans not enough beer escapes and they remain heavy.
  3. Yes it is. Gibby only giving one start to Sanchez when he could have given him 2 on normal rest and everything. What a dipshit.
  4. Gibby strikes again. Just got a notification on my phone that he's set the starting rotation as follows: 1: Estrada 2: Happ 3: Sanchez 4: Stroman With that setup we only get 1 start out of Sanchez.
  5. Ok I thought it was -1. Well whatever my point still stands. The RD was worse after the trade deadline for whatever reason.
  6. I often see the argument that they aren't the same team because of the moves at the deadline and that the +8 RD doesn't factor that in. But on July 31 they had a RD of +9. The rest of the season they played -1 ball and ended up +8. I don't really know why that is, i.e. was someone hurt during that period, etc. But after the trade deadline they were even worse than before. I don't even know if this means anything. But it's not like they were a -40 team, made those trades, and then suddenly played like the 95 win team the rest of the season. They've struggled with run differential all season. http://www.baseball-reference.com/games/standings.cgi?year=2016&month=7&day=31&submit=Submit+Date
  7. The Rangers aren't a better team than the Blue Jays. Worse on offense, defense and the rotation isn't as good although that can be mitigated if they are able to throw Hamels and Darvish a total of 4 times in a 5 game series which they could do simply by throwing Hamels Game 1 and then again on 3 days rest in Game 4. Darvish would be able to pitch on normal rest in Games 2 and 5. Rangers bullpen is better but the metrics don't really like them. But even though the Jays are better that barely matters in a single playoff series, especially when it's just 5 games.
  8. Yeah I like Happ in Game 1 and Sanchez getting two starts. Texas will get to throw Hamels twice but they'll have to throw two shitballers in Perez and then one of Holland or Lewis. If they throw Hamel and Darvish first they have to pray to god they win them both otherwise they will be tasked with winning road games with big pitching matchup disadvantages and against Sanchez in Game 5.
  9. Roy Firestone crying is the best thing on that board. Lol he is so butthurt right now.
  10. If Texas throws Hamel and Darvish in Texas they'll throw Perez and one of Holland or Lewis in TO. Possibly against Sanchez and Stroman? Happ could go Game 1 and Sanchez could go Game 2, both on regular rest. And then go Estrada and Stroman in TO. I'd strongly considering that.
  11. We have one hell of a 4-man playoff rotation, we probably won't ever have a huge discrepancy with the pitching matchups. If Osuna is healthy and Liriano turns in to the bullpen weapon that we saw tonight we could be a very tough out.
  12. I don't think he will fired. After the dust settles they'll see that he's gotten a pretty mediocre core (as far as repeat playoff teams go) to the playoffs several times now. What an absolutely horrible game by him though.
  13. Hazel Mae making Barry Davis look like a pro at the post-game celebration interview.
  14. They'll always be "the boys of summer". 2015-2016 are two years we won't forget especially after over 2 decades of futility. Would love to see EE and Bautista back but can't run a team off nostalgia unfortunately.
  15. Lol for sure. I'm dying to hear the explanation.
  16. Ubaldo on short rest throwing out of the pen. Let's get one.
  17. Duensing? Britton is either hurt or Showalter is pulling the "save your CL for the lead when on the road" to the EXTREME
  18. If Osuna is out you'd have to think about inserting Liriano as the CL
  19. Geezus they haven't even used Britton yet.
