    Yeah Boston winning 2 of 3 is ideal. That 3 game set against us gives them an opportunity that the Yankees no longer have and they have an offday before they face us so they can probably finagle Crochet into the series. That said, they only have 16 games left so there is less opportunity to take matters into their own hands and make games up. It also makes their 3 game deficit look a little rosier than it actually is, they are 4 back in the loss column so with the tiebreaker they will have to be 5 losses better than the Jays over the rest of the season. Going to be tough for them!

    Jays schedule is manageable vs. Houston x2 vs. Baltimore x3 @ TB x4 @ KC x3 vs. Boston x3 vs. TB x3 11 home games to just 7 road games. We are just one game back from the best home record in baseball. The two road series are manageable. Normally a trip to Tampa would scare the hell out of me (still does a little) but I feel a little better in that they haven't been playing very well at home this year. KC's rotation has been wrecked by injuries.

    That BOS-Minny-Baltimore 10 game road trip with no off days is going to be harder for the Yanks than their fans think. The Yankees, like most contenders, are floating around .500 on the road. Minny sucks but they are .500 at home so those games might be tight and the Yanks could very well be cooked before their final homestand where I think they can expect to finish strong.

    If there was ever any doubt about putting Buck on the Level of Excellence or not this right here solidifies it. Dude is a Jays lifer and going viral for his passionate Yankee hate is a Top 10 moment in Jays broadcast history. Let's go on a World Series run for Buck and put him on the Level of Excellence Opening Day next year. Not sure how much longer we will have him.

    The Atkins haters are never going to give up We can see how the rest of this season shakes out, but barring any sort of epic collapse both he and Shapiro should be extended this offseason

    You have to wonder if they have too many individuals in the Front Office as well They have 100s of people working in Baseball Ops. At a certain point you would have to wonder if their top voices aren't always cutting through what could be a bloated and bureaucratic mess of a front office.

    Yeah it feels like on the whole we outplayed them over the course of the 3 games but we hit like dog crap with RISP in the two close games to drop the series. Frustrating but we have a 2 game lead with the tiebreakers and 12 of our final 19 games are at home (where we are 45-24 on the year). Off day today but I like the pitching matchups for us this series. Must win 2 out of 3. Berrios vs. Garcia Bieber vs. Alexander Gausman vs. Javier
