  1. Anytime you nuke someone's post and they have to resort to non-sequitur fellatio comebacks you know you really struck a nerve lol
  2. Still time but our division rivals haven't really done a whole lot so far.
  3. Hoffman failing a physical this past offseason = Ross Atkins is incapable of acquiring a closer I can't believe you gift us with insight like this for free. Have you ever considered starting a paywalled Substack?
  4. Someone Someone get Ross a cup of coffee he hasn't made a trade in 2 hours
  5. Yeah AJ Preller is a psychopath but he sure knows how to make things fun They've got a lot of s*** talking players and a fun home crowd to boot
  6. Let's trade them Joey Loperfido for Dylan Cease
  7. Hard to get a read on what the hell the Padres are doing but if they are trying to move Cease and get a lesser starter back we could be a match. Bassitt or Berrios plus Nimmala for Cease and Suarez.* Don't tar and feather me I'm just spitballing a trade without even looking at fangraphs dot com first
  8. Jeremiah Estrada too.
  9. Good chance that the Jays added the top starter moved at the trade deadline and they did it for one 50FV prospect
  10. Yeah he is in the perfect spot. If he comes out and dominates in the playoffs he will get PAID. If he doesn't he can lock in the player option and try to rebuild value again. In order to extend him we'd really need to sweeten the deal.
  11. For a big market team, backend SPs aren't really worth that much. Their biggest worth is probably providing depth while they have options.
  12. It's easy to trust the team on giving up Stephen. They've moved Hoglund, SWR, etc. and don't regret moving any of them. Stephen probably maxes out at as an SP4.
  13. That's a lot for 6 weeks of Bieber but that's the price you pay for an SP1 come playoff time. Bieber and Gausman form a solid 1-2 punch to go along with our defense, lineup and bullpen (I assume we'll add another reliever). That team can make some noise.
  14. Lock in boys, today is going to be an insane day
  15. I believe we pretty much HAVE to move some players soon or we’ll lose them for nothing in the rule 5 or we’ll have to DFA them bc they are out of options and the 26-man will be full.
  16. I don’t disagree but slap hitting defensive guys with high WAR projections fetch less in trades for some reason so we could probably get him for less. We got Gimenez in a salary dump and he plays up the middle.
  17. Abel was a former first rounder and always one of those guys that looked the part and scouts loved. He’s 6’5” and his fastball sits at 96. He could never hit the broadside of a barn though so his stock dropped. But this year his walk numbers have really improved and he showed some glimpses in his MLB starts. If that improvement sticks he could be legit, hence why the Twins wanted him.
  18. Yeah this game isn't over by any stretch but regardless of what happens we need to take the offday to reset and then get back to our winning ways against the Royals and Rockies.
  19. That error cost us 3 unearned runs and about another 15 pitches We need to get the hell out of this town
