  1. Disagree. He's a rat-faced hypocrite who should be shamed for it.
  2. Everything started with THE bat flip, the culmination of which was Odor eventually punching Bautista. I don't remember Odor saying anything but it's possible he did. Regardless he and his team definitely took a self-righteous stance toward Bautista's.
  3. This looks like a hockey ad as the background looks like ice. The maple leaf is so overdone, not only is it huge but it appears again in the official logo. I know the dome is probably going to be closed for the first part of the season but they should be promoting summertime and getting outside. Instead we get a leave that looks like it belongs in the fall as well as the ice background.
  4. Been to several other cities to watch Jays games. Seattle, Texas, Denver, Philly, Baltimore, Chicago, Kansas City, Oakland, and Anaheim. No one really cares enough to bother you but for some light ribbing at times. If anything they find it curious that a Canadian came all the way to watch the Jays play in their city. We Americans are a friendly bunch.
  5. I agree, it could help. I wonder if Larry Walker getting involved would help. He's a former star player and Canadian. The WBC team and the National Basketball team need to do something to improve the players they get and getting the right guys to run the teams would help. Hell, even enlisting celebrities to help recruit would make sense. Basketball should name Drake the assistant General Manager to Nash being GM. He might be able to get the top talent to come play.
  6. Canada could field a really good basketball team. They'd have an entire two-deep depth chart with guys currently in the NBA.
  7. Has Morales been playing any 1B so far this Spring? I'd love to see him carve out 50+ games there. Means less Smoak. He might not be half bad at it either. He hasn't played there much in recent years but in his career he's gotten decent marks in both DRS and UZR/150.
  8. I love the guy. I hope he kills it from here until he's 40 like Ortiz, signing one or two year deals to stay with us until then.
  9. I agree. I would take him. I think any clubhouse issues are overblown, first of all because the game doesn't rely much on teamwork since it's based upon individual outcomes. Second, clubhouse issues are almost always overrated among fans simply because we don't know hardly anything about what goes on in said clubhouse.
  10. I remember that. Gibby blew up on him in the dugout too. After the game he gave his explanation and I legitimately felt like he thought that would have helped them win more than he was complaining about losing the RBI. But that might be just as bad because it shows he's an idiot who doesn't understand simple situational baseball.
  11. It's a real life version of Life On The Road starring Ricky Gervais.
  12. It'd be nice to get both of them. DFA Zeke and Travis can start the year off on the DL to make room for Lawrie. When Travis returns then we can DFA Smoak. I have no idea how much they would cost though.
  13. Brett Lawrie is not a box office draw.
  14. Lawrie would likely have better opportunities elsewhere rather than signing with us and hoping for injuries to get playing time.
  15. Sparkman broke his thumb which actually might work to our benefit. We can now keep him on the DL to start the year. Then we can send him on a rehab assignment before we either add him to the roster or give him back to the Royals.
  16. For these big 7 year deals more teams should add in that Lackey provision where if the pitcher misses a year he has to pitch another one for basically free.
  17. I can't wait until Gibby inevitably loses his flag in the mess of an outfit that he's wearing so he just resorts to chucking a half-full can of Diet Coke on to the field.
  18. Yeah the hop just never seemed right at all.
  19. Is he douchey or something? Or do you just hate the hop that much?
  20. That's not a bad idea. I'd probably tweak your lineup by switching Bautista and Morales and then switching Martin and Upton.
  21. Yeah I agree. Blanton was most likely more desperate now than he was back then. I'm surprised he couldn't at least get a nice two year deal somewhere though.
  22. Would have preferred that deal to the one we gave Smith. Oh well.
  23. http://bfy.tw/AI1A
  24. Perfect fit for him and their team.
  25. Yeah his offense isn't great but it's not a complete drag and he's effective at guarding 2s, 3s and 4s.
