  1. Cy Latos. His velo looks a little bit up from the past couple of years.
  2. This offense is turning a corner. I can feel it. Bautista and Martin look much better. Smoak isn't a complete disaster. Pillar having a nice year.
  3. Lol Bautista runs with the confidence of a man much much faster than he actually is. That guy is really aggressive on the basepaths and it usually works out for him.
  4. Yeah I mean he can try it if he wants. He got the base but it didn't mean a ton and he risked ending the inning right there.
  5. Good job by Latos to be careful with Wong. Would have been nice to get him out so Martinez had to lead off the third but with that runner in scoring position I'm not too bothered by the walk.
  6. Yeah they weren't holding him at all so he got a huge lead and a good jump.
  7. They can have that base. Just get this final out.
  8. Wow that ball two pitch was meat and the ump didn't call it?
  9. Didn't look pretty but I'm just thankful he caught it.
  10. I'm just kidding. I hope he doesn't get hurt seriously at all. And if you use RA9-WAR the trade is really close right now but edge to the Mets for sure.
  11. Ok maybe you're right. ESPN is basically dropping baseball altogether. Only showing it one night a week. Really stupid move by ESPN IMO but it's not good for the game either.
  12. Not me. I hope he goes down forever and we end up winning the Dickey trade.
  13. We'd go from a -1.5 WAR player to a 0 WAR player. Literally addition by subtraction.
  14. Just wait for game 2 when the battery is Lawrence-Salty.
  15. Does anyone know anything about Ohlman or Maile? I think Maile is an average framer, good defensively, and a s***** bat. He'd easily be better than Salty. Ohlman used to be a fringe prospect with an okay bat and shaky defense but his bat has fallen off a cliff yet he remains at Catcher. I don't know much about him but I assume he's better than Salty as well. I don't know how fat Navarro has gotten but he'd be worth the major league minimum probably.
  16. Can't wait for the Salty and Lawrence battery later tonight. That wouldn't even be impressive talent for a AA game.
  17. With Latos and Lawrence throwing today this is a good choice.
  18. You're right, the author probably reads this board. I should start taking posts from here and turning them in to articles.
  19. If we can split the double header today that will make for a 4-3 road trip where Latos and Lawrence saw 4 of the 7 starts. I would would be pretty pumped for that. But you're right, it would be nice to go on a win streak or win 6 of 7 or something. If we can get healthy soon the month of May has a pretty decent schedule for us. Lots of home games and all the road games are on the east coast.
  20. I don't know when BP Toronto launched but they've been writing some good sabremetric articles lately. Here's one about Devon Travis and his xwOBA. http://toronto.locals.baseballprospectus.com/2017/04/27/devon-travis-is-primed-to-turn-his-season-around/?utm_content=buffer27ac5&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer
  21. We could get something close to those 4-5 prospects at the deadline if we trade Donaldson, Liriano and Estrada IMO.
  22. Man Rowdy Tellez looks like s*** so far in AAA.
  23. Instagram WWW.INSTAGRAM.COM Lol Bo Bichette is HUMBLE, or so he declares in all caps as he's about to mash a ball over the fence.
