  1. Yeah the hitting is improving which makes the games more watchable. Once Vlad is up the lineup will look even better. Good call on Biggio too. He is looking good, Steamer has him pegged for a 103 wRC+. His walk rate is pretty sexy, might be a leadoff option against righties.
  2. Going to be a tight battle between Sogard and Vlad Jr. for our lone All-Star representative isn't it
  3. s*** my bad. Fade the Jays tonight boys. This season is a dumpster fire but we can at least make some money this year.
  4. "We bat Alcides Escobar (Eric Sogard) leadoff because when we do we win." -Ned Yost (Carlos Montoya)
  5. Getting caught up on last night's game and was able to watch the slomo replay of the relay throw. Teoscar did a great job to get the ball off the ground and get it out of his hand quickly. That was a cannon throw with no windup or crow hop or anything. Galvis unleashed a strike too. Doesn't look like his ball ever dropped, just a straight line.
  6. I'd like to personally apologize to Montoya. The man is clearly a genius after Sogard's 3 hits and counting.
  7. Between this and BBBB's takedown earlier today, BTS is taking a beating. The only day worse that I can remember is when he got roasted over seeing the Power Rangers movie.
  8. Not falling for it. You aren't this stupid.
  9. Eric Sogard and his 74 wRC+ is leading off tonight so my answer is an emphatic yes.
  10. Speaking of which, why is Brito in CF tonight and Grichuk in RF? I kind of thought that's how it always should have been but what spurred that change?
  11. So glad we dumped Pillar for 50 cents on the dollar so Socrates Brito could get regular at bats.
  12. A good rule of thumb is that guys who sign minor league deals and aren't good enough to crack your opening day roster probably aren't good enough to hit lead off either.
  13. What exactly was he doing when he was in Tampa? Did nothing rub off on him?
  14. Eric Sogard is batting leadoff tonight. Lmao
  15. BTS owned hard. This is a KingKat level takedown.
  16. Shoemaker is under control for one more year after this one right?
  17. I forgot about that. Sogard wasn't on the 40 man.
  18. Gah I'm on mobile so my posts are showing up weird
  19. Makes sense but if that's the reasoning why not Teoscar too? It's too soon in the year to do this.
  20. He's playing about as good as Teoscar, Drury, Jansen and others and we are only 2 weeks into the season. Seems a bit rash to me. Maybe there is attitude issues (he seems fine to me but I'm not in the clubhouse) or the team simply wants to send a message.
  21. I don't think Tepera is very good. Steamer thinks he's a 4.20 ERA type. I guess he can't hurt though.
  22. Garbage offense and bullpen. The rotation will probably start to falter but I think the offense will step it up. I don't have a whole lot of hope for the bullpen though.
  23. I was not expecting Freddy Galvis to be our best hitter but here we are
