  1. I swear I read a graphic that he would have been near the top of the team in hitting high velo... I must have been bamboozled by Sportsnet's propaganda efforts to cover for Atkins' slap hitter fetish
  2. Hmm, maybe aggressive promotions finally caught up to him in 2024? That doesn't explain why he sucked so bad in the minors in 2025 though. His xwOBA is 2 points higher than his wOBA so he's not getting lucky really. His barrel% is super high though. Maybe he's just barrelled a few more balls than he normally will? High launch angle guys like that can see their averages crater if the ball isn't getting out of the park.
  3. Here's another thing you guys are going to tar and feather me for: Don't be surprised to see Ryan Borucki get put into the game in a BIG spot against a lefty. Lefties are 2 for 41 (both singles) against his Slider/Sweeper on the year. Borucki sucks against righties so they will need to be careful with pinch hitters and the 3-batter rule. But if Bellinger is up with 2 outs and runners on, Borucki very well could get the call.
  4. I knew I was going to get tarred and feathered for it but I wanted to let people know in advance to help stem the outrage lol
  5. They showed the numbers on Sportsnet the other day and it was shocking at how good IKF is against high velo (97+ mph). He's got BA's over .300 which makes him elite and Top 5ish in baseball. Clement may be good but I don't think he is anywhere close to that. I would like to see the numbers but I don't know how to work Statcast well enough to figure it out. And I suppose IKF sucks at hitting everything else so if he did get in the game Shitler could just spam his breaking balls and get him out that way. So I'm not necessarily even saying it's a good idea but don't be surprised if he draws a start tonight.
  6. Cam "Adolf" Shitler has been on fire lately. He throws really hard so I would not be surprised to see IKF (one of the best in baseball on BA against high velo) get the start tonight.
  7. Hopefully he misses some games this series. The guy is Babe Ruth at home (164 wRC+ at home vs. 98 on the road) with the short porch in right.
  8. Tyler Heineman is 4th on my MVP list Most people won't include a backup Catcher on their list and that's understandable but this might be the greatest backup Catcher season of all time. Slashing .313/.388/.461 with 2.2 WAR from the backup Catcher position. Just insane numbers and he plays for the best team in the AL. Yankees STARTING Catcher only has 2.7 WAR if you want to compare.
  9. Springer plays for the AL Leading Blue Jays, meanwhile Judge plays for a team tied for 3rd in their division and Raleigh is playing for a team that is going to miss the playoffs altogether My vote goes to Springer and it isn't even close
  10. Some Jays fan goaded Chisholm into a "SMD" reply over the strike 3 call last night lol https://sports.yahoo.com/article/yankees-jazz-chisholm-jr-fires-174050211.html
  11. Folks what's being lost in the shuffle here is my amazing bet from last night. When Springer hit that home run to make it 5-1 I just knew the Jays were going to win. My takes have been so piping hot this year that I just had to follow my gut instinct and throw down 5 units* on a Jays comeback. Sure enough, I was right once again and many people are calling this the greatest sports bet in BJMB/Jays Centre history. *1 unit = 1 dollar. It used to be more but I was fired from my job and my nag of a girlfriend says I need to cut back on the sports betting.
  12. Wow! Jays fan does in fact cheer for the team once in a while!
  13. Lmao buddy let me fill you in on something When you make a prediction and it actually comes true, that’s not “incessant cheerleading,” even if you predicted a positive outcome for your own team. That just means guys like Spanky and me KNOW BALL. I get why that’s hard for you to process though, considering (1) you’re the biggest Debbie Downer in this board’s history and (2) literally every single one of your predictions this year has been wrong (unlike mine- all of which have been right).
  14. If you must know, I think it’s going to be a tough series and I’m not sure we’ll win. I most likely will not be betting on it, though there could be some good value as the Jays are likely underdogs for all 3 games. But the main reason I won’t be betting on it is because I almost never do. I took the Jays over on the season win total and bet today’s game when they were down. That’s it. So yeah, probably not betting on it this weekend. Not sure what point you are going for but there you have it sir.
  15. Yeah 3.5 game lead is big. Yanks almost have to win the series against us to have a shot at the AL East crown.
  16. that Yankee bullpen strikes again, can’t wait to face them in that little league stadium this weekend
  17. Yeah well you’ve got one bizarre way of showing it. Jays are first in the AL and just had a huge comeback win and you’re double dog daring people to bet against the Yankees Buddy I’ll bet on what I want to or not. If you’re so confident that the Yankees are going to win (and you’ve been fluffing them all year) then you can bet your own darn money on them
  18. Boone ejected too we got a full blown Yankee meltdown ❤️
  19. Was ejected after he got the hook too Warms my heart
  20. Lol don’t you claim to be a Jays fan? Or are you finally giving up on that charade?
  21. Well looky here boys I bet on the Jays when it was 5-1
  22. Sometimes I'm surprised that people on the board still argue with me tbh
