    Panik is probably fine as a rarely used 26th man. He projects well enough to be one anyway. The problem is Buntoyo can't help but play him 60% of the time.

    Yeah Alford is trash. Sure wouldn't mind seeing more of Fisher though. But who knows, maybe Fisher has a tight hammy as well or something.

    Gotta love the creative ways in which Buntoyo was able to keep Fisher out of the lineup tonight. He just had to have all 3 of Drury, Espinal and Panik in the lineup tonight. Throw in Tellez and that's probably the worst infield I've ever seen. It's almost too bad that Biggio has positional flexibility.

    Maybe the Jays can just stay in Washington and keep playing the Nats since their opponents were going to be the Marlins and Phillies.

    They just need to get as many games in as they can. Do their best to get each team to get at least 50 games and just go off of win percentage.

    Yeah there's not any room for error, a lot of that is due to the players and owners not being able to agree to a deal.

    The real problem will be if this happens to multiple teams.

    Just postpone their games for a few days while they continue to test the rest of the team. Then call up whatever number of players they need and carry on. If the games need to be made up they'll have to figure out how to do that somehow. If they don't, then just don't play them.

    If Bass and Romano can be serviceable as the CL and SU then there could be enough there to fill out the rest. Say Giles makes it back for the final 30 games and then maybe we aren't so bad after all. On the other hand, I have about 0 confidence in Bass and Romano being serviceable as CL and SU though. Even if they are, figuring out who can stick in the pen and who can't among the other guys will lead to some growing pains at the minimum. I think this bullpen is going to be a huge pain in the ass to watch this year.

    For sure. The 60 game season kind of sucks because we have like 15 fringe pitchers that could actually be guys for us but it will be hard to sort through them all in this short season.

    Yeah for sure. It's hard to say on these guys right now with no real spring training or tuneup. They'll be working out some kinks live. But yeah Yamaguchi does not pass any eyeball tests that's for sure. The 60 game season really sucks for a young team like us. The development of our young hitters could get stunted a bit but it also doesn't give much time to see what we've got with this plethora of fringe MLB pitchers. Some of them could actually be pretty good. 162 games would let us get better looks and lead to less holes heading into 2021.

    Looks like Font will be a one inning reliever whereas Borucki will be a multi-inning guy.
