  1. Ehh, probably Hankins. Not a big VV fan and it seems like in a 20 teamer you might be able to find a replacement on the waiver wire for VV?
  2. Looks like Walker is going down to the wire. The first time voters are helping him and of those who make their ballots public he's doing well enough but I feel like the dinosaurs are the ones that are anti-Walker and they tend not to reveal their ballots as often.
  3. His statcast sprint speed numbers are pretty solid. 28.3 ft/s which puts him at 15th among 2B, 135th in the league and in the 80th percentile. Not sure what that translates to on the 20/80 scale but surely higher than 45.
  4. At this point it's debatable. He throws slightly harder than those baseball-playing lesbians in the Pan-Am games do so he could probably K a few.
  5. I'd like to bring this Around Baseball discussion back to female sports if you guys don't mind?
  6. She wouldn’t be Top 500.
  7. Sadly I think this demo in particular might be populated by mostly short butch lesbians so anyone interested is barking up the wrong tree.
  8. Women can be very good at softball
  9. LOL! You’re the type of guy who watches the WNBA aren’t you? The pitchers are lobbing 60 mph fastballs down the middle of the plate. One of the “highlights” is a girl barreling a ball about 230 feet to the warning track of a little league field where it’s caught for an out. The US women’s soccer team lost badly to an under 14 boys team from Dallas. My guess is one of these girl baseball teams would lose 100-0 under similar circumstances. So yeah I feel pretty confident in saying that women’s baseball is most definitely NOT a thing. Those players and whoever organized the actual game should be jailed. Awful stuff.
  10. I won the regular season last year and my team is stacked with young talent and good financial situations. Definitely one of the top 3 teams. I have all 3 Baby Jays too. (Vlad, Bichette, Biggio)
  11. Seems like Blackmon is listed super high on dynasty lists though, way higher than anyone else in the package. He's got a fat contract for a few more years which should keep him in Coors through 2023. Seems like a lock for .290/30 homers/110 runs/85 RBI. That's close to a star player! I do like Howard but is Cruz really going to stick at SS? I basically had talked myself into keeping Blackmon until you all chimed in so emphatically. I'll think about it but thanks for the advice friends.
  12. 14 Team Dynasty League Was offered Ken Giles, Oneill Cruz and Spencer Howard for Charlie Blackmon. There are salaries involved, I'd say Giles salary situation is slightly better than Blackmon's (when factoring in the positions they play). Which side do you guys like? Thanks!
  13. The mods will never ban me! Traffic to this site would come to a standstill!
  14. KevinGregg is speaking a whole lot of truth in this thread and the rest of you are wrong. Women literally cannot play baseball so they invented a whole different sport for them to play. What could she possibly teach an MLB player? She probably can't even throw the ball from third base to first without bouncing it. Laika says she can hit fungo or throw BP? Lmao I would bet hundred bucks that she can't do that effectively, let alone at the level of an MLB coach.
  15. He sucks Spanky. Admit it.
  16. Yeah Espinal needs to be in AAA and he needs to show some big improvement in order to be an MLB player. He's 25 already and he's not exactly hitting well in the minors.
  17. Thanks. Still no clue about the defense but if it's even borderline acceptable then I think he's a decent bet to be our top UTIL bench guy and I think he could do pretty well. Tejada would be my #2 and Espinal #3 unless I'm forgetting someone.
  18. Have you ever seen a woman throw? Lmao there is no chance she can throw BP!
  19. Thank you for liking this post Spanky. I put some thought and effort into this one and at least someone around here recognizes it. It wouldn't kill the rest of you to show a little appreciation once in a while ya know.
  20. Wouldn't hate it for dirt cheap but what we really need is a backup SS and I'm not sure he fits the bill there.
  21. I think Valera could be a guy. I have no clue if he's good at defense which plays a big factor for a guy like him. If he can't handle SS he's probably useless but Fangraphs said this about him a year ago: "Breyvic Valera was acquired from St. Louis as shortstop depth after the Corey Seager injury in exchange for OF Johan Mieses. He’s a 50 defender at short and can make contact but produces so little power that he’s limited to a bench role." I also read somewhere (can't remember where) that last year the Yankees changed his swing and he hit 13 homers in 305 ABs in AAA. That's after he previously hit 23 homers in about 3300 minor league ABs. He's also a switch hitter and after eyeballing his minor league splits he doesn't seem to have a discernible platoon split. He can take a walk and doesn't strike out much either. The Steamer projections have him slashing .260/.322/.384. If he can play an average SS that makes for a useful player. If he can play average SS and the swing change leads to a skill change in the power department he could be borderline starter material. I'm skeptical about the defense though. Does anyone have a scouting report on him?
  22. Canada Day it's fine but we used to wear them every Sunday and I hated that. Just awful. Would rather wear the T-Birds all season than that.
  23. Seems like a lot of people hate the powder blues but I quite like them. The red ones are the absolute worst, we don't wear those anymore do we?
  24. So the latest rumor is that Altuve and others were wearing devices under the jerseys and near their shoulders which would alert them to what pitches were being thrown. Rosenthal asked him about what was up with him and his jersey and Altuve's answer didn't make much sense.
