    I'm usually more on the side of Boxy in these instances but these allegations seem far stronger than the other ones we've seen. Far stronger than the ones against Bauer, for example. In addition to some articles I've read which summarize her lawsuit, her lawyer has also posted a bunch of things to his twitter account. Now this is all coming from her side. It's possible he never even had sex with her and that she's making it up and that it was others there and not him. She claims he admitted to having sex with her in her suit though. I think you've got to take him off the field at this point. If he is innocent I feel for the guy, and if he's not he deserves to rot in a jail cell. And this really is beside the point and even somewhat awful for me to mention as it shouldn't matter, but the guy is a flipping punter for crying out loud. I don't care how good he is. He's not worth the trouble that he's about to bring down upon the team.

    I'd look to extend Vlad this offseason for sure. I'd consider Bo as well. Vlad is having a mediocre year for his standards and Bo a poor one and both project to be better in the future. Now is a much better time than last offseason.

    Sal Perez shouldn't even sniff the HoF but I think he has a small chance due to the hardware he has accumulated, often undeserved. His stats obviously suck but he is a 7x All-Star and has 5 Gold Gloves, 4 Silver Sluggers and a WS MVP. If he keeps playing for another 5 years or so he could also end up with 300+ home runs, landing him somewhere around 5th all time for a C. Seems pretty wild but I think it's possible.

    Yeah and we kind of have a logjam of relievers right now anyway.

    Yeah I agree. The K's are a concern but I don't think he should be getting dinged on lists to the level that he has. Maybe it limits how high he can climb on your Top 100; but to move him down dozens of spots, or even take him off your list entirely? He's going end up with 30+ homers in AA at age 20. One thing I'm not entirely sure on is why he's running such low BABIP's. Is there any sort of minor league launch angle data on him? EDIT: I see the previous discussions on IFFBB% now

    He's such a legend. If he ever gets another job whatever team he is managing will immediately become my 2nd favorite team (so long as it's not a division rival of course).

    Obviously on roids and who can blame him. Doesn't really matter if he gets popped at this point and there's no way MLB is going to go public with that even if they did catch him.

    Tomorrow's game is huge. If we win we are 6 games back which is daunting but doable. Rotation 1-5 looks solid and the bullpen is both really deep and good. 8 games back seems like a longshot.

    No it's not. He's coming off 4 days rest and could use some work. There's no ifs about that. It's actually a lot of ifs from you guys to all assume that a save situation will arise both tomorrow AND Saturday. Because that's the only way he might not be able to get into the game on Saturday.

    Oh no! Can he all of the sudden not pitch tomorrow? Has his arm reached unbearable levels of stress because he threw one inning in the past 5 days? OMG what do we do tomorrow because he did pitch THIS game? If anything let him shake the rust off tonight with a giant lead and he's probably better tomorrow anyway. If we don't need him tomorrow then he's probably better on Saturday or Sunday because of it.

    Romano hasn't pitched since Saturday you dummies. He needs to get into a game. Actually makes sense to use Kikuchi there if you know Romano is coming into the game no matter what. If Kikuchi shits the bed it might be a save situation anyway.

    There was always speculation surrounding Bonds continuing to play after 2007 and I remember in 2008 there was some very mild scuttle about the Jays signing him. Some reporter even asked Jeremy Accardo about it who had played with Bonds previously in San Fran and Accardo said he was a good teammate and would be all for the Jays signing him. Would have been so awesome to have him for 2 or 3 years to close out his career.

    That's what I think. Let him dial it up to 98 and then pick one secondary pitch to go with it and let it roll the rest of the season. If that flops revisit it again in the offseason.

    Frankly I think we hosed them. Frasso for White in itself was probably fair but given our needs I'd prefer the MLB-caliber SP with 5 years of control. But to get a similar prospect to Frasso in De Jesus on top of it tips the deal in our favor. That's not to say that the Dodgers don't know what they are doing but they churn out so many MLB caliber players they have to get rid of some of them in order to deal with roster concerns.

    Yeah the guy has never thrown more than 60 innings in a year in college or the pros and he's almost 24. He's thrown 174 innings in his entire collegiate and pro career combined.
