For all the talk of how thin our rotation is, and deservedly so, we have a plethora of AAA hitters who look like solid depth/bench players we can pull from heading into next year. I don't think Steamer's 2023 projections are out yet, but by using the in season projections all of the following look like they could be solid, Barger especially. There's also some fringier types like Chavez Young (CF defense), Davis Schneider and others.
Otto Lopez - SS/CF
Spencer Horwitz - LF/1B
Tanner Morris - 2B/3B
Addison Barger - 2B/3B/SS
Maybe we could find a team that would want one of these guys for an equivalent AAA SP. Some team with okay pitching but major holes in the lineup could line up in a trade. Or maybe even Craig Biggio's son could be used in a similar trade.
