  1. Lol what a loser. Mr. 40 Million Dollar Man can complain about luck all he wants but he got outpitched badly by a rookie making his 9th career big league start. Mookie also had a TERRIBLE post game interview where he looked completely defeated. Freeman had a great post-game interview but most of the team seems really flat and dejected. They are the complete opposite of the Toronto Blue Jays who never get down no matter what happens. Need to step on their necks in Game 6 and end it.
  2. Alex Call who has no business starting a WS game, zombie Kike Hernandez who should have been out of the league years ago (in CF!!), and Teoscar Hernandez who we all know sucks out in the field The hits will fall, just get the ball into play
  3. I think the Dodgers feel that YeSavage is actually better vs. LHP bc of the splitter. That's why they moved Muncy down and why Edman bats righty against him, despite being a switch hitter. Totally agree on them moving Freeman down though. His splits are small anyway and the guy always has good ABs. Moving him and Ohtani further apart makes it a little easier to navigate with our righties who might be able to pitch around both Ohtani and Freeman now.
  4. Ross Atkins would get burned alive if the team was healthy and started Alex Call in LF and Kike Hernandez in CF in a pivotal World Series game. These guys are scrubs. Get the ball to the outfield and the hits will fall.
  5. The best option might be Schneider in left and Lukes in RF. Barger can pinch hit. Lukes has better splits against lefties as well as far better range than Barger in the OF. I could see Lukes working the count against Snell and getting some walks. Could spray some hits around as well.
  6. I'm not sure on Straw vs. Barger but good point on the GB tendencies. IKF is going to be in there and Bo at DH, if Springer is out.
  7. Yep I don't remember the exact quote from Roberts but it sounded like sticking with Pages, or going with Call or Rojas (with Edman in CF) were all mentioned as options. Totally agree with you on Kike. He's completely washed and has been for years and thankfully Mookie is following the same trend. They've got a superstar, 2 stars, 2 mistake hitters, a very mid Mookie, and then three black holes in the lineup. It's a darn good lineup but it is beatable and has been all playoffs.
  8. I don’t blame Meghan Markle one bit. A lot of girls enjoy sports in the sense that they like dressing up, going to the game, and cheering for whoever the home team happens to be. Now before you tar and feather me, I know not all sports girls are like that but my first and third ex-wives were so I know the type. But Prince Harry is the real traitor here. Imagine being fifth in line to the throne and rooting against the Commonwealth. He’s basically a reverse Benedict Arnold and should be banned from the country. Toss in the Jonas Brothers while we’re at it.
  9. After last night's game it sounds like Dave Roberts might be considering some changes. The bottom of their lineup sucks and Pages is 4 for 50 this postseason. But their bench also sucks and they haven't started any of those guys in 3 weeks.
  10. Yeah definitely some small sample size stuff happening there but the team is working with more info to back up the SSS and make these decisions. France is pretty good. Both this year and in his career he's in the .330ish range. IKF isn't great. He's around .270.
  11. Lineup decisions for tonight: Schneider over Lukes is likely. In Game 1 they went with Straw over Barger, will they do that again? If Springer is in, Bo will play 2B. If Springer is out they will have a decision to make: Play Bo at 2B and France at DH? Or Bo at DH and IKF at 2B?
  12. After we won Game 1 the prices went up for Game 2. If we win Game 5, the prices for Game 6 will be really high as we'll have a chance to clinch. If we lose Game 5, they might be a touch lower. Game 7 prices are going to be crazy.
  13. He doesn’t hit for power or draw many walks against righties throwing 96+ mph. His xwOBA against those pitches was just .195.
  14. Yeah he barely used his splitter in Game 1. 13% of the time compared to 26% in the regular season. If he can get that pitch working tonight we've got a good shot.
  15. I've been a huge fan of Schneider but part of the reason why his numbers are as good as they are is because the team is selective in how they deploy him. He's a strikeout hitter who struggles against righthanded velocity. In the playoffs you will see a ton of that. IKF and France don't strike out much so while they kind of suck they will put the ball in play and with a little BABIP luck they can get some hits.
  16. What a win last night. Anytime you think this team is cooked, they deliver. 4 games under .500 toward the end of April. They go on a huge summer run to take the division lead. Yankees tie the division with 4 games to go. Jays win all 4 to hold them off. Judge hits that moonshot and the Yanks come back to take Game 3. Jays win a bullpen game the next day. Series over. Seattle takes the first two in Toronto. Jays bounce back to take the next 2 in Seattle. Seattle wins Game 5. Jays take Game 6 and deliver an epic comeback win in Game 7. Dodgers win the 18-inning marathon which is a total gut punch to whoever the losing side was going to be. Springer is hurt. The Jays come out and knock around Ohtani anyway to win Game 4.
  17. Yeah throwing Varland for the final inning last night ensures both of them are ready tonight.
  18. Actually, I think they have to replace him with a position player
  19. Lol what a move Anytime you hate a John Schneider move just take a look at the other team's manager and he'll have done something worse
  20. Yeah, that was a questionable call. Dominguez can’t handle lefties and has no command, so it was risky to use him against the top of the lineup. If you walk Ohtani, Freeman’s guaranteed to hit, which isn't great. And even if Ohtani goes deep, it only ties the game. So even though it backfired, the worst case scenario was a tie game and the Jays just couldn't do anything in the next 11 friggin innings. Still, having a mound visit to tell him to pitch around Ohtani and then throwing it right down the middle is a joke.
