    Paddack could be worth a shot. Pitcherlist was on his nuts for a long time but he's never been able to put it together.

    I read all of this on Twitter. Trust me. Barger's injury doesn't sound too bad. No bone chips, no ligament damage. Lauer Hour is over and the team is considering Miles, Dallas, Van Eyk, and outside options for the 5th starter role. Scherzer also got a cortisone shot in his thumb. Lukes will go on a rehab stint soon. Yimi Garcia was extra sore after his last rehab outing and will take a couple days off. Hoping he can throw in a game later this week. Kirk is hitting and throwing but not catching. Yariel will throw 1-2 inning outings. Bieber will face live hitters for the first time on Tuesday.

    Really feel for the Lauer Fanboys....seems like it was only yesterday that they were certain that a DFA wasn't possible. Now their boy is in DFA limbo, waiting to sign with the Colorado Rockies.

    Wow I didn't know that he can just flat out be optioned after 90 days of service time. I thought he had to be active for 90 but the rest could be IL time. That's good to know. In that case, just keep him until he hits 90 and then option him at which point you could probably consider shutting him down. He's barely pitched the past few years so I'm not sure they want to put any more than 80 innings on his arm max. That would give us 6 more years of control with 2 option years.

    After the year we've got him for 5 more seasons of control with 3 option years. Rule 5 picks don't get any better than this. I do worry about his workload. He's up to 21 innings this year which is already a career high in pro ball. We only need to have him on the active roster for 90 days in order to avoid any carryover restrictions next year and we are about half way at 45ish days so far. Maybe he can take Lauer's spot as the bulk starter? Then when Bieber is ready, he can replace Miles who goes to the IL with a phantom injury*? *assuming the Dodgers aren't the only team allowed to do that

    Vlad is so damn good at sliding into home 20 grade baserunner anywhere between 1st and 3rd but if he's heading home he's a 70

    Yeah we do. If he can come back and everyone else is healthy, we should be able to rip off some winning streaks. Gausman-Cease-Yesavage-Bieber-Corbin is a damn good rotation.

    Will be interesting to see who they option/DFA for Barger tomorrow. Sosa, Schneider and Pinango are the options. When Lukes comes back then they'll need to get rid of another.

    You keep doing this thing where you post nonsense, then backtrack the second people start dunking on you. Either you change the argument (like yesterday with the Red Sox) or pretend you never said it (like today). Are you really trying to say all you posted was a Wild Card standings snapshot? You didn’t add the arrows and make some dumb point about the Angels? And you weren’t posting about “facts” and “history”? Come on pal, if you’re going to take shots at people being optimistic, at least stand by them instead of running away the second you get called out.

    The math is tough. The situation is dire. The facts are against us. The history says we can't do it. But despite it all, I believe that this team can achieve the impossible by making up what seems like an insurmountable 1.5 game lead with just 125 games left.

    We are a game and a half out of a playoff spot and finally getting healthy. Why are the Debbie Downers like this? Is it depression? Low T? Or maybe they are just trolling? I really just don't get it.

    Don't let the Debbie Downers get to you. The team is a game and a half back of a Wild Card spot and we are relatively healthy for the first time all season with Kirk on track to return by month's end. The Angels are in town and Cease is on the bump. I'm excited as hell for some Jays baseball this weekend.

    Whifflenuts is backpedaling by now repeatedly making the claim that the Sox are better than the Jays since 2000 but but no one was making that comparison to begin with nor was anyone saying the Jays are a winning franchise. We are mid as can be unfortunately. That still doesn’t mean the Sox are the pinnacle of a winning culture. Most of their fans want John Henry to sell the team bc they don’t think he cares about winning lol.

    Yeah his projections are starting to look pretty pedestrian. Looking more like a mid rotation guy than a frontline starting pitcher moving forward.

    I can only assume that RA Whifflenuts is about 18 years old because the Red Sox were synonymous with losing for an entire CENTURY. They traded friggin' Babe Ruth and their most famous play in team history is Bill Buckner whiffing on a ground ball. Yeah they had a nice 12 year stretch but they are back to loserville status. There is no winning pedigree here and the Jays should NOT be looking to model them as some sort of winning franchise. Overall, they are more known for being LOSERS and this goes for their current form. Everyone hates their ownership and front office for being cheap and not caring enough about winning. Read a damn book WHIFFLENUTS
