  1. Yeah probably but they have some zeros in the rotation so trading a 2 WAR 2B for a 2 WAR SP seems like it should be somewhat feasible and should also help them to a decent degree. Might have to sacrifice a year of control or something.
  2. This is caveman-like thinking similar to when Gord Ash kept Joe Carter around 5 years too long because he was getting 100 RBI a season. The analytics have never been more accessible than they are now. You guys seem smart (enough), you both should learn how to read a Statcast page! They even color code it for the double digit IQ fans such as yourselves! I'll go ahead and get you started with a quick lesson. Blue = Bad and Red = Good.
  3. I think we could make that work better than the Reds could. We are looking for a right handed bat and India fits that profile. Whit can play more LF while we sit one of Varsho or KK this year and then he's the full time starter at 2B next year. We would need to trade for a SP to go with Ryu to finish out the year. As for the Reds, Manoah is now a project and the Reds are trying to win now. I think they'd be looking for someone who could provide more immediate help rather than a boom or bust project like Manoah.
  4. According to Statcast, Cabrera is throwing 5 pitches as a reliever. Just started throwing a slider. What a mess. Cut him down to 2 or 3 and the Jays might have something.
  5. And yeah I forgot Leo Giminez. Legit Prospects Orelvis Martinez Addison Barger Davis Schneider Fringe Prospects Spencer Horwitz Otto Lopez Leo Gimenez Mildly Interesting Vet Ernie Clement Potential Defensive Specialists Luis De Los Santos Cam Eden (38 for 40 on SBA too) Whatever This Guy Is Rafael Lantigua
  6. With the trade deadline coming up in 10 days a couple of those guys might not be here anymore which would allow for some reshuffling.
  7. He's got one remaining option year which is being used this season so surely they'll put him in AAA to get a look at him with the hopes of him cracking the roster next year.
  8. So embarrassing lol This is a game where Lou Gehrig gets diagnosed with a terminal disease which ends both his career and life and he tells the home crowd that he's "the luckiest man on the face of the earth." Compare that to Kelenic who kicks a water cooler, breaks his foot and then weeps in the follow up interview. I hope we sweep those *******s this weekend.
  9. Yeah it was a soft, low liner/ground ball that slipped past the SS.
  10. Kirk with the rare 1st to 3rd on that single. I think it took a 3-2 count with two outs but he did it.
  11. I will pay the Jays $500 to sign me for $285.
  12. Don't we have one of the best pens in baseball this year?
  13. Gotta love the board after a loss. The village idiots come out of the woodwork to post a bunch of crap from congratulating the Orioles on taking the division lead to suggesting that demoting or even releasing Vlad is a possibility lol
  14. lol ok this is just pathetic
  15. What was Harper's strategy here?
  16. You know what, you're actually right. Nothing in his statcast says he's worse this year. Zips is dumn.
  17. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/the-2024-zips-projection-decliners-hitters/ Nice try but if you think I'm dumn then you think the highly respected Mr. Dan Szymborski himself is dumn. One thing my haters don't get is that I have literally zero original thoughts of my own. I merely copy stuff I read online and regurgitate it. That's why I never lose any arguments.
  18. Angels are up on the Yankees 6 to 0. If that score holds the Angels will only be back of the Yanks by 1 game in the win column.
  19. Nah he's just trending downward. I wouldn't worry about anything this year but he just might not be a top of the lineup bat moving forward.
  20. That is one scary proposition but he might be worth trying over Manoah lol
  21. We might be at that stage in Springer's contract where he needs to move down to 5th or 6th in the lineup. No knock on him but he's no spring chicken anymore.
