  1. A Sportsnet puff piece which relies heavily on the "his father is a HoFer" narrative? Really good stuff here. We don't even need arbitrary start dates with links like this.
  2. Yeah losing that series to Cleveland was a real dagger. It ain't over yet but there is no denying that the season is on the brink after that series.
  3. I'm sure the team has considered it. They HATE playing Cavan there but they even have him over there before they put Schneids. Regardless, my point was that it shouldn't be hard to get Schneider in the lineup. Just pencil him in everyday and then make the decisions about who else is in the lineup afterward. The dude is mashing and clearly needs to be playing every day.
  4. His batting average is approaching the Mendoza line again you guys. He also apparently doesn't know where to bunt the ball. I know we Cavan Fans like to use arbitrary start points, but can we also use arbitrary end points too? So for example, "from May 1 to August 15th he slashed x/x/x" and then we just ignore the 2+ years prior to that and then ignore the 2 weeks since? Just trying to gauge what works and what doesn't. I've never simped for a player this bad before. Thanks.
  5. Ok you guys I have to tell ya, being a Cavan Biggio supporter is HARD. How have you fellow fanboys been able to support him so much and for so long? I’m about a week in and feel like giving up already.
  6. Just play him at 2B or LF every day and figure out everything else after. He’s too good to sit.
  7. I’ve been banging the Babe Schneider drum louder than anyone but he doesn’t play SS or 3B
  8. Are Bo and Chapman going to miss any time? We need to get Barger and/or Clement up if so.
  9. Against lefties it’s easy, Schneider is in. Against righties you can rest Whit, Springer or even KK or Varsho. But Schneider should be playing close to every day.
  10. 10 years 200 mil to lock Babe Schneider up through his age 34 season. Who says no?
  11. Unleash the Babe and the playoffs will be easy to make
  12. Well look at that, the Babe delivers
  13. I don’t understand why Schneider is only good enough to play once a week but when he does play he’s also good enough to bat 5th? At least he’s in the game. Hopefully he can shake the rust off.
  14. We face a lefty tomorrow and the offense is in a deep rut. Surely they can get him into the lineup somehow. At this point he’s so rusty I don’t think we can blame him if he doesn’t hit a game winning homer though.
  15. I don’t even know what to say at this point. Never seen a guy get glued to the bench after hitting a game winning homer before. Cavan Biggio gets a week’s worth of playing time after a couple of singles. Maybe Schneider must be benched for a violation of team rules or something?
  16. I like the thought but Schneider can’t even get at bats. Nor can Horowitz even get a callup and both are big league ready.
  17. Update, they could not in fact find any ABs for Schneider in this series. A series in which the team scored 6 runs in regulation across the 3 games.
  18. We just got dominated by Jimmy Dean Sausage Creamer and Pile Gibson on back to back nights. Meanwhile Babe Schneider continues to rot on the bench. He’s completely buried, they won’t sit a regular for him and when they do go to the bench, they use Biggio (lmao) or even Espinal (!?) before they use Schneider. Mind boggling.
  19. I know he put up an 0-fer tonight but I’m really glad the team is sticking with Cavan Biggio. Dude has been on a tear since May and we can’t get sidetracked with guys like Babe Schneider. Biggio and his .650 OPS is just too valuable.
  20. 1-1 against the greatest team since the 1927 New Yankees is pretty good IMO.
  21. Whit has had a little bit of a rough week or so at the dish. Let's give him a breather today and give Babe Schneider a start? I don't want to offend Cavan Biggio stans so don't worry, maybe we can put him in for Springer?
  22. My bad. Someone else can do the GDT tonight. I was only good for one game apparently.
  23. Horrible news
