  1. This dude is ass. Shows up to Spring Training and he's over 320 lbs., predictably sucks and then when demoted he just whimpers off into the offseason while the team is in the middle of a rock fight for the final wild card spot. Any normal athlete would be working hard to try and contribute to the postseason. What a pathetic effort from him.
  2. You'd rather go down to the Trop for a 3 game series?
  3. Tex-ASS is going 5-18 the rest of the way The playoffs will be easy to make
  4. Well take those thumbs and shove them you know where. 6-3 is fine as evident by us not being in a playoff spot prior to that stretch of games to being in one now. If we keep going 6-3, or even 5-4, we'll make the playoffs.
  5. The schedule was easy but 6-3 in our last 3 series without Bo and Chapman was pretty solid. We are nearly 100 percent healthy so hopefully we can take it to the Royals-Rangers-Red Sox on this 10 game homestand.
  6. I've changed it twice in 10 years. I'll get it around to it.
  7. Yeah, that whole schtick got stale months ago. I'll put out a Biggio banger every once in a while but for the most part I don't troll anymore.
  8. Stop what? Masterbather said Judge gets the meatballs because he doesn't chase. I just pointed out that Schneider's chase rate is elite. The comparison's stop there since he has mediocre exit velos.
  9. I agree with that. It's not a knock on Judge. And for what it's worth Davis Schneider currently carries a better whiff rate than Judge has had in any single season throughout his career.
  10. That's interesting to hear Lonegan say that. During last year when Judge hit 62 (and ESPN force fed me live coverage of his ABs while I watched CFB) it seemed like everything he hit out of the park was a meatball. So if Schneider just keeps hitting meatballs out he should just be fine.
  11. Well let's hear it? How low of expectations do you have for him going forward?
  12. How about we go back to April of the 2021 season at which point Biggio stopped hitting and a trend that has continued right through this season as well. Since April of 2021 Biggio has produced a 91 WRC+ and been worth a total of 1.4 WAR. You should really stop trying to defend the guy so much, he's legitimately been an awful baseball player for nearly 3 seasons now. Thankfully he's been contributing a bit of offense lately at a time where the Jays need all of the help they can get given the amount of regulars out of the lineup.
  13. Biggio Fanboys are the master' of arbitrary start dates. So it's always going to be difficult to fight fire with fire. However, what if we make that start date earlier instead of later? That way we can get a larger sample size. Let's say the beginning of the 2021 season? Since then Espinal has been worth 4.1 WAR and Biggio has been worth 1.4. Just saying.
  14. Santiago Espinal is slashing .274/.342/.375 since April 17th. Cavan Biggio is slashing .225/.326/.372 in that same time period. Just saying.
  15. Clement seems pretty solid. Light hitting guy who can field. He may not be a great SS, but if he can do it even somewhat below average to go along with 90 wRC+ he's a useful UT infielder for a playoff team. To be a 2 WAR guy he either needs the defense to be better than I think or he needs to hit for more power, both of which are possible. Horwitz has barely played so he's even harder to get a read on. He'll need his recent AAA power spike to hold moving forward to be anything more than a bench player. But if the power is there, he could be a strong side platoon player who Ross trades for a setup man in a couple of years.
  16. Schneider is legit. He does have some warts but he makes it work because of the things that he does well. For example, his whiff rate is UGLY but his chase rate is ELITE. He has mediocre exit velos and an extremely high launch angle. That only works if you pull dat ball and he pulls it with the best of them. He obviously won't be this good moving forward. But the projections are catching on and both Zips and Steamer have him hitting wRC+ of 110 or better moving forward. Early returns on his defense seem positive as well. Seems like he can be a 2-3 WAR player moving forward? And who knows, maybe even a little bit better?
  17. The Yankees are way too far back. 0.5% chance of making the playoffs according to Fangraphs. It would take a miracle for them to pass us. They'd have to win all 6 games against us and then on top of it they'd still need help as they'd be a game and a half back of us without very many games left. Then on top of that they would need to pass the Red Sox (doable) and one of the Mariners, Astros or Rangers and it's probably harder to pass one of those teams since they don't play them. Their remaining schedule is cake so they might be able to keep their hopes statistically alive for a while longer but they are cooked.
  18. The prospect outlets were giving us almost zero credit for those guys in the system rankings. Which is understandable, none of them really deserved to be highly ranked. But our team ranking would surely have gotten a huge boost if Schneider was being credited as a 3 WAR player, Clement being a good backup, etc.
  19. Imagine simping for a mid 20s AAA pitcher with a 7.50 xFIP who isn't even in our organization and then you have the stones to tell someone that they are weird? lol wow buddy
  20. Well you're actively rooting for this guy to succeed and he's not even on our team anymore pal
  21. He's in his mid 20s, his medicals are longer than a CVS receipt and he's got a 4.63 K/9 in AAA lol Any rag that put this guy in the Top 100 isn't serious
  22. Ok well now it's two starts and the future superstar's xFIP is 7.47.
  23. They probably won't even make the playoffs
  24. I've heard that his defense track pretty well even at SS.
