    It's Ohtani's life. He seems like a pretty humble guy. It's probably a little embarrassing for him that he's about to get paid 600 mil and then get all these crazy perks in his contract. There is probably going to be some wild s*** in this contract. Something crazy like a dedicated shoe shiner or dog walker or who knows what else. And Ohtani deserves it for being the best player since Babe Ruth. And if he doesn't want any of that s*** to leak then that's his prerogative and journos (very nasty people) have no right to know that. The entitlement from Rosenthal and other journos is ridiculous. Why don't you actually do your job and work your sources and break a story? If you can't it's your fault, not Ohtani's.

    I wouldn't trade Vlad unless blown away but I could see trading Manoah for a 2 WAR position player with some control. Pitchers are very fragile and if he's got something going on with his arm or if he got fat and lost his mechanics he could be washed already.

    I'd do a 4 year deal for Chapman. He's not the most exciting player to watch on a daily basis. It can even be downright brutal at times. But at the end of the year when you look at his Fangraphs page he's going to clear 3 WAR.

    I would take Moncada. White Sox would obviously have to eat some salary but I'm sure they would.

    Atkins has handled this perfectly. His ability to speak without saying anything of significance has been great. He's been able to praise Ohtani while at the same time respecting his wishes to keep everything private. His lapdog manager has received the marching orders and is doing the same. It's been a masterclass in how to court a superstar who has major privacy concerns.

    It’d be like the NBA when a team puts together a super team. Like the Heat signing Lebron and Bosh to go with Wade. You could fill out the rest of the spots with ring chasing vets on cheap deals. And then trade Manoah for Fraley or something.
