  1. Yeah with all the moving parts it's difficult to say Ohtani is guilty of anything. Seems just as likely that he's extremely hands off with his money and his #1 assistant (the dude was way more than an interpreter) and best friend took advantage. That happens all the time to athletes. The story changing is weird but when his interpreter and #1 guy was also the culprit it's easy to see how that could happen.
  2. Lol that was both fast and predictable
  3. Agree on Pearson. I probably option Espino and give White a little bit more leash but he's on thin ice. I would probably give Mayza a low leverage inning or two against the Rockies (there will be plenty when we are blasting them all series) to see if he can show improvement. If not I would phantom IL him or option him. If Mayza rebounds then that means Genisis gets optioned? Idk maybe you're right about White... It's a big series for a lot of our relievers because someone will get sent down.
  4. Don't worry bud we will be back to our winning ways in no time. Mariners got lucky as s*** this game but we've got Gausman, Francis and Berrios against the garbage ass Rockies. Then we get Romano, Swanson and Jansen back for the Yanks. Team Not Panicking is still looking great and the vibes remain strong.
  5. Yep just pound the Rockies and then come Monday we should have Romano, Swanson and Jansen back for the Yanks
  6. Yeah the injuries to Romano and Swanson loomed large in this game
  7. It will be interesting to see what they do when Swanson and Romano are back. Very SSS but Pop, Little and Danner look solid in AAA so far too. Espino, White, Mayza, Genesis and perhaps Pearson are all options to be optioned (DFA in the case of White).
  8. Yeah s***** end to the series Gilbert was dealing today and we had some s*** luck in the 9th Flush it, rest up tomorrow and then pound the garbage Rockies this weekend
  9. Raleigh has 9 of his 61 career home runs against us If you took away his numbers against us his career numbers would crater
  10. Frig Kirk tattooed that ball to RF and then Clement's bloop couldn't find turf
  11. Maybe saving the real pinch runners for extra innings? idk
  12. He has. His swing decisions aren't perfect but they are much improved. He's had some issues scooping throws but the defense looks improved too. Extend him.
  13. Edwin hired as Vlad's personal baby sitter
  14. Mariners bullpen used to be very good but they've been siphoning off good arms the past couple of years in trades for slap hitters Munoz is the only guy who scares me anymore but he's susceptible to blow ups
  15. Biggio has got to swing the bat with 2 strikes
  16. How the hell did we lose to these guys in the playoffs They are trash
  17. Getting international money for Parsons is great. There was a lot of chatter about keeping him over Zulu but freeing up a 40-man spot while also getting that intl money seems like a wash compared to keeping Zulu.
  18. Yeah it was tempting to play him as the 3rd Catcher for 15 games or so when he was a 110 wRC+ bat. If he's hitting 85 wRC+ there's not much point. Just take the elite OF defense instead.
  19. Average BJMB poster: "But Terminator, the offense sucks! You and Spanky are r-words and should be panicking! We should have signed Tommy Pham! Fire Atkins....Whaaaaa!!!!" The offense:
  20. Horwitz even has 3 steals to start the season Vogelbach stinks but he's barely playing. When Jansen gets back there's another DH candidate/pinch hitter to add to the mix too. The team is so stacked it might take an injury to get Horwitz some playing time.
  21. Based on the eye test, the difference between Kirk and Serven defensively has been STARK. Serven looks completely overwhelmed compared to what I'm used to seeing from Kirk. Unfortunately, their bats look comparable. I like the team riding Kirk like this early in the year though. We have an off day tomorrow and when Jansen is back Kirk's workload will get cut plenty.
  22. A few interesting lineup decisions. Biggio is batting 5th. At this rate he'll be in the two hole before the ASB. Kirk is catching the day game after a night game. Serven was awful in that Yankee game he started but it's still surprising to see them ride Kirk to this degree. Varsho is batting 9th even with KK in the lineup.
