    It's the third inning in Buffalo and Orelvis is 2-2 with 2 homers. I don't know how far he hit them but they weren't wall scrapers.

    It's not an exact science and it's extremely easy to criticize all the moves with hindsight. Gausman's first start was very good. Hard to fault them for that. They got an excellent season out of the corpse of Brandon Belt. Hard to fault them for that one too. Yariel was very quickly called up and that one seemed to work. Romano got it done even though it was ugly. Swanson didn't but he's a better pitcher than Pearson. With hindsight he should have gotten a longer rehab I guess but if he's healthy I can see why they would call him up.

    Gausman wasn't in top form but he looked MUCH better. I feel much more confident in him. Varsho is hitting again. Romano and Swanson go their feet wet and Jansen is back. The Padres and Royals won't roll over in their home stadiums but let's shoot for a 4-3 road trip.

    It's a fair question but it's not like Nate Pearson and Mitch White are guaranteed to have done better. Tough spots for Romano and Swanson to make their season debuts but Yimi Garcia and Chad Green have been shouldering quite the load early in the season so we had to go with them. Hindsight is 20/20 but we win today's game in most situations. Not like Judge hit a homer either, he got a ground ball through. s*** luck.

    Ok I definitely planned on sucker punching the first guy who said one cross word to me at the bar tonight but after thinking about it (and working my 12 step anger management program) I've calmed down. We almost had an epic home stand but the Mariners and Yankees both pulled a couple of lucky games out of their asses, mostly due to the fact that our bullpen is still rounding in to form. Clearly we had a lot of guys unavailable tonight as Genesis Cabrera was asked to go 2 innings in the middle of a tight game. But a 6-3 home stand was the goal and we did it to right the ship. We've got a tough road trip coming up but definitely plenty of winnable games. Let's buckle down and get back to our winning ways. Go Jays

    The Yankees are trash we just threw one of our long relievers at them for 2 innings in a tight game and they barely dinged him

    Just think- as frustrating as it can be to watch us whiff with runners on base, imagine the other team striking out ten 10 times only to finally get some good swings late in the game and then Varsho makes the play anyway Yankee fans going to be furious after they score 2 runs today

    I would love to see the ump scorecards for the last few seasons against them. This year I think we’ve been in the favorable side once and it was barely the case. But there were some blown calls in the field that made up for it.

    Is there anyway to make a prop bet on Boone getting tossed today? Unless he diligently worked an anger management program this offseason there is no way he’s going to be able to endure a sweep at the hands of the Jays without blowing a gasket.
