  1. Seems a little early to crown the Red Sox as a smart new org. Perhaps they are, but if the Red Sox are "back" in just one offseason and (with just one month of above average play under their belt), then their fortunes could turn south just as quickly if they don't remain on the cutting edge of everything. And if situations can change that fast then so could ours. All they did was push Chaim Bloom out and promote the guy under him. An Atkins to Click move would be similar so all this talk of everything being extremely bleak beyond this year is way too premature lol.
  2. So not only is this sinking ship of a team destined for last place, but things are going to get "extremely bleak" beyond just this year and we can expect "YEARS of misery" and a "period of darkness"? Wow!
  3. Alek Manoah had a 13.50 K/9 in his season debut today
  4. He's 6'4" 290. With him and Manoah back we've got an offensive line again. LT- Alek Manoah 6'5'' 305 LG- Vlad Jr 6'2'' 265 C- Kirk 5'2'' 299 RG- Vogelbach 5'9'' 315 RT- Kuhnel 6'4'' 290
  5. Been fighting against the Biggio Fanclub for YEARS. I'm glad to see glad people are finally listening.
  6. crazy talk regarding Bo Dude has been worse than anyone He’s probably pissed about his own performance, if he’s mad at other people than he should worry about getting his own affairs in order first
  7. He definitely caught wind of something during the off day.
  8. John Schneider's job, and perhaps the Jays' entire season, could rest on Alek Manoah this coming Sunday...
  9. After that last game against the Royals Schneider was preaching patience. Now he's dropping the F-bomb in pressers. I understand this game against the Nats might have blown the lid off things but even before the game he was showing a much bigger sense of urgency so something has changed. I wonder how hot his seat is right now.
  10. Yeah 3 games under .500 isn't quite a total disaster, but we aren't even playing at that level. We are playing like one of the the worst teams in the league.
  11. Blowout loss to the Nats has me like this
  12. My opinion doesn't fluctuate game to game. When everyone is throwing the team overboard after a 4-6 road trip to start the season I held. The we won like 3 or 4 series in a row. Seemed wise. Then we hit another rough patch again the Royals and it's continuing. Now we've got over a month of data now. My position is about the same, I do think we will play better and contend for a WC. But the longer it takes to start playing better, the more I have to wonder (1) how big the upswing will actually be when we do finally turn things around and (2) if we will still be in meaningful contention by the time that happens.
  13. Lmao the inmates have broken out of Arkham Asylum and are running wild
  14. Good lord Swanson has given up 10 ER in 5 IP this year lol
  15. Bizarre decision to use Swanson there. He's been struggling and we have a fully rested bullpen.
  16. Yeah I thought the same thing but Clement didn't really make a competitive slide. He was hosed and they weren't going to bother challenging it.
  17. Hopefully George is ok Pretty sure he was out but the Nats burned their challenge
  18. Almost the perfect throw but that tag was off a little
