Just in case anyone has concerns about Gimenez's contract, keep in mind that Max Fried is also a 3 WAR player. He just signed for 8 years, 218 million for his age 31-38 seasons.

They are somewhat similar but Gimenez's Steamer600 is 3.0 and Caballero's is just 1.9. Gimenez is Varsho levels good defensively.

I mean that's one way of describing him lol. He put up 12.7 WAR the past three years, projects for over 3 WAR next season, is entering his just his age 26 season, and is under team control through 2030.

Nah Treinen is under an ever constant risk to miss whole seasons. He even threw up negative WAR his final year in Oakland. He's definitely elite when he's right, but he's rarely right anymore. Regardless, I'm only point out his deal because you think Yimi getting a paltry 2 year deal is somehow the Jays bidding against themselves.

Blake Treinen is 40 years old and has thrown 50 innings combined the past 3 seasons. He just got 2 years, 22 million. Seems slightly under market rate for Yimi, elbow issue and all.

They must hate Romano's medicals and are fine with Yimi's. If they are right no problems with this but if they are wrong they will have some egg on their face for sure.

Yeah any pitcher coming off an elbow injury is scary as heck. If he's healthy though this is a slam dunk deal. Fingers crossed.

They hate Suzuki's defense too. I think he made some pretty bad plays last year but on the whole his metrics aren't too terrible. I wonder what it would take to get him. He can hit and he's got 2 years 17 AAV left on his deal.
