  1. Thanks for doing this. Keep them coming.
  2. This one's on management for bringing Tepera up in the first place. He has done nothing to warrant a roster spot. I'd rather have Roberto Hernandez.
  3. Notice that not one Blue Jay came over to console him. They all realize that he doesn't belong in the majors but the Jays keep bringing him up. I am guessing that this is his final game in the big leagues.
  4. Thanks Ang. Back in the day someone used to post the minor league highlights every morning..not sure if that was on the old board or if the poster is still active. Any takers?
  5. Fire Rivera and move Tulo to the bottom of the order until he starts hitting. He is killing the Jays....has no clue up there. Swing the f***ing bat.
  6. Is it time to drop Borucki from the top 30 list. I watched him pitch a few games while I was in Dunedin...he even looks worse than his numbers if that's possible. Borucki is yukky.
  7. Lansing outhit 10-1 tonight but win the game 1-0. Jon Harris picks up a lucky win.
  8. Today's report from Dunedin. Travis took batting practice this afternoon, hitting against Clinton Hollon...seems to be making good progress. Borucki was horrible tonight. The HR's were bombs..fielders didn't even turn around. Felt sorry for the kid. Lot of Jays brass at the game tonight...Andrew Tinnish, Charlie Wilson, Eric Wedge..don't think they liked what they saw.
  9. 3 pitchers combine to throw a no-no in the 2nd game of a double-header for Dunedin tonight...Allen, Cardona and Mayza.
  10. Thanks Ang but I'm the 72 year old on the left sucking in his gut.
  11. Proof that Pentecost does exist. Hit a sharp single the only at bat I saw.Says that he's feeling great..big kid with a quick bat.
  12. No Devon Travis at Extended Spring game vs Canadian Nationals but ran into this guy. Love the Rock.
  13. Devon Travis took batting practice today at the complex...looks pretty good. What a great guy....even nicer in person.
  14. Watched Vlad Jr in an extended spring game yesterday. Played 3rd and made a nice play on a slow roller before throwing wide to first...popped up both times at bat. Kang was playing for Pittsburg on a rehab assignment. According to Sal Fasano, Loup has started pitching and should be in an extended spring game soon.
  15. I forgot Urena . Not excited about Jansen, D.J., Robson. Maysa and Cardona may prove interesting to watch. I only have 2 more weeks down here and would like to see another Borucki outing...he got hit hard the 1st time he pitched. Do you go to the games in Dunedin?
  16. With Alford out, the only players worth watching down here are McBroom and Conner Greene. The bottom of their lineup is horrible. Heading over to the complex tomorrow to watch an extended spring game...hope Vlady is in the lineup.
  17. Wow. That is ugly...a far cry from the old days and the Lansing 3.
  18. Was at the game. Borucki was yukky tonight. Not a good start for Jays prospects...Alford, Greene and now Borucki.
  19. Everytime I see Dickey, I want to throw up. The fact that he is tied to Thole and cost us Thor and Darnaud has to make this the worst trade in Jays history.
  20. I was at the game tonight in Dunedin. Although he touched 96 and sat around 93, Conner Greene was worse than his line looks. ..A lot of loud outs. Alford was taken out of the game after a hard slide and a collision at home. He stayed down for quite a while but walked off on his own. He also had a line drive right at him clank off his glove. Not a particularly good night for the top prospects except for Urena who hit a bomb to right.
  21. Thanks for the kind words gentlemen. Here is today's report from the complex. Hutch pitched 5 innings...0 runs, 3 hits, couple strikeouts, 1 walk and believe it or not 2 balks. EE went 2-4 with a walk and a strikeout....single, double and a hard line-out to centre. Venditte got hit a bit and topped out at 82 on the gun..was not impressed. Tried to catch McBroom on the other diamond but kept missing his at bats..big kid...hope to see him with the Dunedin Jays. They break camp tomorrow so the next report will be from extended spring next week and A ball. Hope to see Vlady Jr.in extended spring games.
  22. Of the 6 k's, 4 were swinging and 2 looking. He didn't throw a lot of fastballs, mostly change and breaking balls. He left one pitch up that the kid hit hard to centre but it stayed in the park. A lot of breaking balls almost in the dirt for swinging strikes. I am having a great time...have been coming down for about 10 years now, usually mid-March to the end of April so that I can watch A ball and extended spring for a few weeks after the Jays leave. It's good to be retired and divorced.
  23. No Yankee regulars that I recognized...I think they were all minor leaguers. It's really great at the complex where you can watch a pitcher like Sanchez directly behind home plate, basically leaning on the backstop or go behind the first row and check the velocity on the gun. If anyone that really knows the organization who comes down for spring training and doesn't come to the minor league complex is missing a great up close experience. I actually was able to listen in on Eddie's interview with Gregor Chisholm and take a pic with EE afterwards. It's such a relaxed atmosphere and even better,it's free. I'll be back for their last session tomorrow before they break camp, then catch the opening series at the Trop.
