  1. This is fake news how do you know they are Russian?
  2. This argument is ******** anyways. The day the Rockies dumped Reyes and ate his contract is the day the Jays won this comparison, if anyone actually cares about such things. The missed opportunity was letting him slip away to the Mets instead of getting much needed MIF depth and now it's 200-something Goins games later. Just like how technically the Jays didn't win the Encarnacion trade. They were just smart enough to get him back after his tryout with Oakland.
  3. Gotta love my mediation skills though. "Holy f*** you people are such dumb f***s arguing about this." I should become a professional arbitrator.

Betting the Leafs over 6 on the game and team total 3.5 again. Got plus odds on both. I hope for a little less of a cliffhanger than last game I also took overs across the board on all the games. Pit/Was over 6 and the rest are 5.5. All three of the over 5.5's are even money or better. But my Leafs bet is about 10 times bigger than those other ones.
  5. Was jimcanuck also there?
  6. Holy f*** you people are such dumb f***s arguing about this. When someone says "I wouldn't do her" it means "I wouldn't make an effort or go out of my way to pursue her". There are five types of women: 1. I would pursue her with good intentions and treat her honourably. 2. I'd pursue her with dirty intentions and not treat her honourably, but at least I'd make some kind of effort. 3. I wouldn't bother pursuing her but would bang her if it was convenient and no effort on my part. 4. I'd bang her if I got paid to do it. 5. Nope can't even bang her. I can't even get a boner I am so disgusted. 99.9% of guys will consider Jackie Redmond a type #2 or #3. The guys defending her fall under #2. The guys trashing her under #3. This also assumes for any guys already with partners that they would 100% be able to get away with it and not feel guilty about it.

I think Vegas (the place where you make bet, not the team) is not adjusting to the higher goal counts. A lot more slashing calls are being made. If this trend is permanent (and we have seen this before where penalties get called for the first few weeks then revert back), pound the overs on total goals scored. It's about the time of year when betting CFB and NFL is no longer that lucrative so time to focus on NHL. I have the over 6.5 and over Leafs TT 3.5 tonight. This is the first time I've seen a 6.5 total in a while, but most are still at 5 or 5.5. So go Leafs go, but not Andersen. Need him to give up a few. Leafs are allowed to win, 4-3 or higher
  8. I don't understand people that do this...like do they not know how to gamble? Arizona is the clear favourite for this game. He should have required you pay out two lunches for every one of his. Any time you find someone to bet even money and you can take the favourite, that's an automatic no regrets bet you take even if you get unlucky and lose it. Flashes of Greenwood and his dumbassed bet against Stroman that a bunch of people collected easy money on.
  9. I miss Rajai and his 1.5 tool skill set. I disagree that you don't need speed as much and the Jays' ALCS loss last year is a great example of that. Maybe you can get away with it in the regular season but when you face a bullpen like the Indians with a manager like Francona, a guy of the bench like Davis who can get you that extra 90 or 180 feet at a 90% clip as a PR is a very valuable commodity. In those situations you have to manufacture runs like it was the 1980's. If I had a choice between Carrera and a younger-than-36 Rajai Davis who are equally useless in the field with below average baseball intelligence as the fourth OF, I'd take Davis hands down.
  10. I hope the Jays have a worse pick than the Orioles for the next 50 years.
  11. Or it's a great investment if you're a hedge fund looking to report a 35% gain in next year's fund performance and take the year off. It wouldn't surprise me the least bit if another one of these Madoff types tried to pull off that kind of s***.
  12. I never would have guessed that based on the title of the thread that he has read the other one....
  13. I share the sentiment of most people in this thread. A packed free agent year and a trend of not giving guys on the wrong side of 30 much more than 5 years. He re-signs in Toronto he takes the risk of injury/quick decline off the table and gets paid one year earlier. I think everyone wins in this scenario. One could argue that the Jays should be throwing away 2018 when they could get prospects for him. But with how weak the AL will look next year beyond the top 4 teams, going for it and hoping for some luck to at least hit the ALCS again isn't the worst idea ever.
  14. It felt strange cheering against Rogers. Most of the time I'm on GB or the over in their games, usually at profits. I knew I was f***ed the first Bears offensive play lol. Good thing my CFB under was as locked as my NFL loss yesterday so one hand washes the other. Got three college plays tonight ripped off from the guys I tail. Nebraska team total under 26.5 BYU TT under 24 USC/Wazzu over 65 (line's down to 60.5 though yay me)
  15. The 2017 season hasn't ended yet and Biagini is already the 5th ranked starter signed for next year and I'm assuming Borucki will get a serious look next spring. Very good chance he starts the year in the BP unless he earns the #5 spot or at least two SP ranked ahead of him start the year on the DL. One or two signings and Biagini could drop to #8 on the depth chart. Though I'm personally rooting for him and think there is a SP spot for him in the future.
  16. I know that's supposed to be some kind of insult, but I picture that even these guys could easily take BTS on one-on-one in a fight. You gotta bring up someone like Urkel (13 year old Urkel at the start of Family Matters, not Jaleel White today) or Peter Dinklage for him to have a chance.
  17. f*** the Yankees, man. These were supposed to be the lean years while all the bad contracts played themselves out and before their prospects developed and the free agent bumper crop and they are STILL making the playoffs. I hope the Jays sweep them and I hope Minny wins in the biggest playoff drubbing we have or ever well see. Something like 28-0.
  18. Someone in baseball needs to do a cost-benefit analysis of doing giveaways every night. Guarantee a sell out crowd all 81 home games in exchange for giving out a wobbly headed doll that costs less than $5 each to make. Totally worth it. Teams like the Cardinals and Cubs could run out a bobblehead of all their significant players in franchise history for years.
  19. Goins: 450 PA -0.3 fWAR 61 RBI 81 RBI per 600 PA pace Spent most of the year batting in the bottom of the order on a team ranking 13 out of 15 in the AL in OBP. As in other words, not a spot favouring RBI numbers like Joe Carter. Very strange year.
  20. Haha, not anymore. A couple years ago when Manning was a beast (I think it was his first year in Denver after the surgery?) and Denver's defense was s*** I would lay $1K-$2K on the over around 55ish and have it covered every game by the third quarter. Turned $1,500 into $10,000 by our Thanksgiving that year. Took half that money out then promptly blew the rest as they learned how to play d for a few weeks. Pretty sure I have a losing record on sports capping outside of those several magical weeks. Now I just play for a few hundred. But that game would have taken me down quite a bit of my small payroll. Recovered after a good week last week, but just to show you that I have learned nothing, I'm betting more than I should on the Bears +7 tonight and Texas/Iowa St under 62 in CFB care of one of the guys I tail. This guy is winning at a 66% clip so far this year and he bets on A LOT of games, like over 30 a week. Dunno how the hell he does it. His WORST week so far this year is 28-17 lol. I'd love to share the link but the last time I did that on the MLB betting thread my guy turned to s*** chasing the Dodgers during their big losing streak. So f*** you guys, I'm keeping this one to myself. Bears game, I think GB will have it brutally tough for two back-to-back home games. SNF followed by TNF with a 30 degree Fahrenheit difference. Bears had a tough game as well but come in as the +7 divisional underdogs. Tough to lay a TD on that. I'll probably go Bears ML as well and live bet GB for plus odds if it goes like the Cincy game. Ultimately though this stuff is just to distract me until my stocks come back from the gutter lol. When my stocks go well, I conveniently forget about sports capping and the hundreds I lose/make.
  21. It's not so fun when you bet heavy on the under and San Fran. They kept the Seahawks to 12 points in Seattle but let the Rams led by s***-for-brains at QB score 41? I'm lucky I somehow backdoor covered that game at +2.5 so I came out relatively unscathed. I had a bit on the money line as well but was actually relieved when they failed at the 2 point convert. Didn't want to take the risk of OT.
  22. Have you been paying attention to the news recently? If I happened to be a star baseball player located in Japan with an opportunity to head to North America, I'd prefer to be nowhere near the Pacific Rim. Based on the past month or so I wouldn't want to be anywhere near Florida nor the Gulf Coast either. Probably don't want to be anywhere near the San Andreas fault line either....which I guess is 2 points against San Fran and LA because of the whole Pacific Ring thing. Every geopolitical, weather and any major global event outside of the realm of baseball has Toronto as a desirable North American destination right now. This is 100% all on Shapiro if the Jays don't have this guy in uniform by February. His sales pitch needs to be "if you sign with us for 2018, there's a good chance you will live to see 2019".
  23. I'm glad you could find humour in it. I was prepared to take my virtuous scolding from Jim and call it a day.
  24. These online social media and "news" outlets need a new business model or need to be purged from society. What embarrassing, computer-generated clickbait. I hope no one clicked on any ads while viewing that.
  25. Ok I am done with Yahoo: Jays sign Josh Donaldson to two-year deal •Sep 21, 2017, 1:47 PM https://sports.yahoo.com/m/3e0dfec5-e8ba-3ad2-ac99-df8d225ff002/jays-sign-josh-donaldson-to.html
