Which is weird because the Rangers are in Texas, a state that votes correctly. This whole SJW/incel/alt-right thing is getting confusing. I don't know who my friends are anymore. The second I saw Cleveland as a +170 dog for the series I knew that was a good bet. The second I saw the live bet of the Cavs to win game one after the first quarter returning 7 times my money, I knew that was a good bet. I didn't take them because I couldn't go against my hometown team. That's my biggest regret.

I trust this FO to make the right move. If their internal metrics, scouting and coaching suggests that Morales can be a viable contributor over other players, then they will keep him. If not, then they will dump him. People have been poisoned by two decades worth of Godfrey and drunk Beeston that they think they'll keep Morales simply because of the contract. They really need to beg Rogers to allow them to dump this contract? Give a two page power point presentation over how much money they saved on Bautista by avoiding giving into his demands or how much excess value the Smoak contract has provided.

Meh...NBA is just as dumb. The 76ers came *this close* to facing the 7th seed while #1 seed has to battle LeBron. And the Twins have a significant chance of making the MLB playoffs because of the three s*** teams they'll face nearly 60 times this year. So while you shitheads are busy trashing the league that consistently puts out the best playoff action, maybe review the other leagues' stupidity as well.

It's a great idea. Wish baseball had that possibility. Might help to prevent what's going on in the MLB right now. Should also not count an extra innings loss as a real loss but give some kind of participation award for the effort.

Considering how the Jays got Hernandez and that he was something like the 18th ranked prospect in Houston's farm, if he provides 10 WAR over 5 years as a 4th OF I will consider that a pretty big win. -

It does. Winnipeg's April is like Nashville's December. I'm a hockey elitist and only cities with fans who suffer through cold winters deserve good hockey teams. No matter how freaking lovable that Nashville crowd is. Plus those jerseys are the ugliest f***ing eyesores since 1980's Pirates uniforms. Yellow does not need to be the dominant colour on a sports jersey with the possible exception of the LA Lakers. Go away Nashville.

Great coaching decision by Casey to run the bench during the first half of the fourth quarter and then go with the starters when Washington's gassed.... ....but that's not a strategy that's going to work as the Raptors get deeper into the playoffs.

The year-round restaurants and lounge area are pretty damn good ideas. Could probably make other attractions there too like an arcade or (wait for it) a casino.

Oh f*** off Jim. You poison the main forum with your constant build for the future rhetoric now you're doing it here too. The difference being in the NHL you can just say collect draft picks instead of having to come up with prospect trade scenarios. The Leafs were in year one of a 4-5 year window where they have a realistic shot of winning. Last year was a bit of a fluke and they beat expectations so they obviously wanted to build on that. They were early season favourites to win the Cup but in the end the team finished exactly where I would have expected 18 months ago. It's very reasonable for the team to try to build now. They don't need to hoard draft picks which will contribute three years from now, if that. The team is in desperate need of at least one and preferably two lock-down defensemen to be serious Cup contenders. That needs to be priority number one in the off-season and if they have to gut their draft picks to do it, they should do it.

Let's say the Jays do bring up Guerrero. Does the team get any reputation equity for willing to start the clock based on need/merit instead of f***ing with his service time? CBA will be drastically different in a few years time but hopefully the Jays would be able to leverage that rep into another good IFA signing given that Guerrero and Osuna would be on the right side of Heyward heading into free agency. -

He has this stupid habit of cutting up the team's uniforms right before game time and the team has to settle on their alternate jerseys. The batters need time to adjust to those uniforms therefore they don't hit very well on that first day which is always his start. In anger he repeats the process again his next start. It's a vicious, self-defeating cycle. -

I wouldn't say it's complete ******** reasoning. It's established that a third time through the order hitters do better against the starting pitcher they have seen twice before that day. It's the same kind of concept though spread over a longer time period when switching leagues and seeing a new set of pitchers for the first time. So I'd assume the pitcher has the initial upper hand. -
