  1. This is unbelievable. The FA market has tanked to the point where the Jays' offseason activity which looked brilliant at first now looks merely okay in comparison.
  2. Some people have lost their minds with this asset hording philosophy. If a pitcher with options is deemed to be the best of the lot, you don't send him down in favour of protecting against the loss of John Axford or Tyler Clippard. Especially not during this extreme buyer's market.
  3. LOL @ you guys thinking that any of you have physical possessions. The most prized possessions you have are winning fantasy teams. Not even a laptop or phone. I'm assuming you log in in at the library. You wanna destroy someone on here? Hack their keeper leagues and start making trades.

Dammit. You're too damn passive. I'm hankering for a fight but the politics thread is ruined, and the Blue Jays' FO is consistently making the correct and universally beloved moves so there's no debate to be had there either.
  5. I wouldn't mind seeing him back. There is absolutely nothing wrong with having Carrera as an AAAA depth piece. Though at this point it's only fair to expect Hernandez and Alford to be ahead of him on the depth chart. Plus the 40-man roster spot.

You guys seem to know so much, why aren't you GMs instead of talking on an off-topic section of a baseball board? The stuff you're suggesting...your team's cardio and skating ability would need to be through the roof. Plus try and pull this drop pass crap and all the league needs to do is re-implement the center ice off-side rule and your team is DOA as the opponents can rush you on every change with near impunity.

But yeah, Vegas being first is hella-stupid. Mostly luck because they came into existence when a team was juggling two good goalies.

^^^^ Salty as f*** that his home team is one of the 5 teams in the league that don't make the parity cut-off.
  9. Pretty sure he meant what Oh could turn into as opposed to Smith. Not a suggestion on who to sign next.
  10. You might find this place therapeutic to vent, Adam. http://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/threads/8103-Kendrys-Morales-is-bad-let-s-complain-about-him-ITT
  11. You say dum-dum, but if all school shooters made it THIS obvious, maybe more than half of them would be apprehended beforehand (didn't work with Cruz). Obviously this man needs some help, let's hope he gets it. You don't post something like this with the situation America is in because you're dumb and clueless. Nobody could be that out of touch. He has some very serious motivations and just be glad it was done over the internet.
  12. If the success rate on bringing up young arms "early" is 50%, then AA was a genius that was onto something. We can only hope that one out of every two arms coming up in the Jays' system has a career like Osuna's with the other flaming out. That's one thing I liked about AA and this team in general. They don't game the system and delay prospects. When they are ready, they are ready. We can expect Vlad and Bo up when the team deems they are ready but the good thing is the team also has enough quality MIF depth where there will be no need to rush them either. As far as Jansen is concerned, if he earns a spot, he needs to be here.
  13. If both players are healthy and Diaz, Tulo and Travis are all desirable bats in the line up I'd assume Travis to left field or Tulo to DH would be considerations. If we are blessed to see that this year, the Jays would have an awesome bench.
  14. Biagini is a 27 year old non-prospect for a team on the fringes of contention that needs BP depth. If you need him that damn badly as a starter you make him toss 3 innings the first couple of games and stretch him out on the fly in the MLB. You don't stash him at AAA for a rainy day. I'd rather give that role to Borucki. The only way this team competes is if the four starters who were here in 2016 put up another 2016-like performance in terms of health and consistency. If Biagini is needed as a starter, there is a significantly greater chance that the season is lost anyways. Therefore, you organize the roster to maximize your shot at contention right now, which is having him in the pen. Unless things drastically change after Spring Training with additions to the roster or surprise performances/disappointments.
  15. I really don't get wanting to start Biagini in AAA instead of the pen. Unless the team has some moves in mind where this makes sense by April. We will see how Spring Training pans out.
  16. Hey if that's how he wants to spend his retirement...
  17. This should not be a very long thread. I really don't see much debate to be had here. Though I appreciate G-Snarls' attempt at getting a conversation going by putting Stroman at #3.
  18. But now you're gonna get hit with criticism by the racists on this board who think they are smarter than Ben Carson, elite neurosurgeon.
  19. P.S. swing and a miss by boxcar for not immediately pointing out the clearly racist angle first.
  20. That was a pretty Stroman move, bringing up how you were right years ago on an old account.
  21. But that's the whole point. There aren't too many players who act like this posting on social media. These players may have a similar kind of chip on their shoulder, but not to the extent of Stroman who deems it necessary to post on social media about it. These other theoretical players at least keep it to themselves, their family, teammates and organization.
  22. Someone who uses the Twitter more effectively than me should forward him this thread. 100% chance he reads and responds to it.
  23. Well timed bump of this thread on my part.
