    We are desperate to get Danny Jansen back. The same Danny Jansen who had 2 hits in his first 51 plate appearances last year. It's still early. People have no patience.

    Could have been a factor, but I think a bigger factor was just shortened spring training. Players didn't get the work needed to build their arm strength up. Romano needed all this work early in the season. It's nice to see that 98 and 99.

    Yeah those last two batters reminded me of the end of last year. Getting that ball elevated with plus velocity.

    It's early...timing isn't there...that last one was 97.5 off the bat and had an expected BA of .440. Kirk will be fine. There was plenty of bat speed on the first pitch where he swung and missed.

    zimmer's was 334 with an expected BA of .180 so any other park and that's an out..lol. I'll take it though.

    Yeah, I'm not worried about Bo's defense either. His offense on the other hand is another matter. Bo has had 0 walks in 49 PA and he's had a ball 3 in just 4 of 49 plate appearances. That's awful. I know it's early, spring training was shortened, but if you never get the 3 and 1 counts it's tough to do damage. He's just not going to see any balls in the strike zone if he doesn't develop some sort of plate discipline. He already has the best protection in baseball with Vlad hitting after him.

    Kirk's defense has been really good this year. Positive framing stats, 0 PB, O WP, O Errors only 1 stolen base. He's been solid as could be defensively so far this year.

    It was 105 off the bat, right at a guy. Despite being a ground ball it still had an expected BA of .310. Kirk will be fine.

    Some people like to suggest that the Jays rely heavy on analytics and Charlie doesn't really put the lineup together. Tapia has a career OBP of .283 away from Coors. I would suggest this lineup should probably put to rest the idea that Charlie isn't in control of the lineup.

    Gausman has had s*** luck tonight. Should have 2 less runs given up.

    His sprint speed was 23.6 in 2020, 24.7 last year and 25.3 f/s this year. He's actually trending in the right direction and getting incrementally in better shape each year. You guys make is sound like he's in the Yadier Molina category for speed. He's not. Yadier's sprint speed was 22.6 f./s last year. Kirk is 26 percentile this year. Yeah he's slow, but faster than 25% of the players in the league and faster than you think. The ball that springer hit was not deep.

    I mean, Michael conforto does exist. Teoscar looks like he could be out for awhile. Would you give up a draft pick when you've already picked up 2 to give Conforto 1 and 15?
