  1. I'm almost more surprised when he doesn't get a hit.
  2. He's getting 36 mil, so of course he's going to get ample opportunities. 36 mil is a bit much for a long term project. Does Nate not have just as good of stuff. Can't they get into fixing him. He's at league min. He threw 30 strikes in 43 pitches last night and the kooch is blocking any path he might have to coming back as a starter.
  3. That's been his career though. He looked like an ace when he faced us last year. He has a career 4.96 FIP. It's 5.19 this year. We gambled we could turn him around. There is the possibility he could turn into a decent reliever. Who knows.
  4. 36 mil for kikuchi! 12 mil per season. Roark was 12 mil per season. I feel like we should never ever sign a pitcher with an AAV of 12 mil per season ever again! Baseball ref has him making 16 this year and 10 each of the next 2 seasons so maybe it will be easier to DFA him next season.lol. Kikuchi was a guy with good stuff they thought they could fix. They were wrong I guess.
  5. He was just out in front of a ball that he hit into the 5th deck and his hit was 111 off the bat. Did you forget that baseball isn't easy?
  6. Pearson gave up a homer tonight, but 1 run 4Ks 0 walks and 30 strikes out of 43 pitchers. I'll take Pearson's stuff if he's going to throw it in the zone. Hopefully he comes up soon.
  7. Yeah, I'd flip Chapman and Jansen, but I have a hard time complaining seeing as how the right 9 guys are in the lineup. As far as Charlie's lineups go, this is a home run.
  8. Vlad and Teo heating up....s*** teams coming up....watch out.
  9. OK who had our 2 catchers as our best hitters coming into the year..lol
  10. He was in on the grass at first and it was hit right at him. How was Biggio going to score?
  11. so where do you get a lights out reliever at this time of the season? Easy answer. Roberto Osuna. One of these days some team will take some bad press and bring him in.
  12. It feels like I've been watching baseball for 4 hours today.
  13. That's our third 380+ hit for an out the last couple days....Hit it down the line boys..lol.
  14. Kirk's OBP the last 2 weeks is almost .500. Does he ever strike out?
  15. Biggio is a great baserunner. The one thing he does really well. Nice to see him pick up a hit. He deserved a cheapy.
  16. The new balls combined with West coast evening games. Those balls hit were out anywhere else. The west coast marine layer has been robbing homers for decades. https://physics.csuchico.edu/baseball/Pubs/MarineLayer.pdf
  17. This offense is kinda fun again.....am I right!
  18. f*** these baseballs...and that was a bad mistake by vlad
  19. matt just missed it chapman. No one in baseball has hit more balls that needed 5 more feet to be a homer than Chappy.
  20. I get the sentiment. Springer's my guy too. I'm just saying it's nice to see other guys contribute and guys who we thought would produce more.
