  1. \ Your right, it's probably more like 20 login IDs. You signed up a week ago and have 27 posts. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out you have more than one login ID. I write with dots because I'm lazy and because my wife's always interrupting me when I post. Why do you have multiple logins?
  2. I could try and fit in more and get 10 different login IDs like you and so many others if you like.
  3. the jays fans booed him after he opted out of his contract and signed for the hated Yankees....pretty understandable.....the yankee fans booed burnett while he was playing for the Yankees...lol. If anything he might want to pitch in the AL for the opportunity to get back at the Yankees....but he would probably do so with the orioles if that was his mindset.
  4. Part of the problem with Baker is he may get opportunities where he will get more playing time and the same money. We don't know if AA has or hasn't checked in on Baker, but that could be a factor working against the jays.
  5. Lawrie's career splits against Lefties are much better than they were last year....Melky had a tumour on his spine last year....maicer will play for goins and our tba bat will bat for Lind against lefty starters....speaking of which...come on AA go sign a right handed bat...
  6. yeah, he wasn't near as critical as I thought he might be, but he still brought attention to areas of weakness or concern. I quite liked him the times he was on TV.
  7. You can hedge some of that risk for the near future, but the dollar is going to remain lower for the foreseeable future. This will be more than of an issue 2 years from now, but then if the team just started winning there are still tons of untapped revenue streams that could materialize...
  8. I love how the Yankees have no holes....there's already talk tex might not be ready for opening day..and the days where jeter and tex are both missing who's playing first, 2nd, 3rd and short?.....yeah....not so rock solid afterall...
  9. The Yankees are over rated.....will be fun to hear all the crying if they miss the playoffs and then get Arod's salary back on the books for next year..
  10. that's okay...in 5 or 6 years we'll have a sample size large enough to get some idea of what his defense will bring..although even after 5 or 6 years the margin of error associated with those defensive statistics will still have a pretty large margin of error...lol...I can't wait to find out if his defensive skills are better than maicer...
  11. so is goins an average defender or what...he looked pretty good especially considering he plays on turf.....he was a lot better than maicer and boni....I don't have to look up any statistics to come to that conclusion..
  12. still might happen...who knows...let's see how spring training goes.....the fate of the jays is far more likely to be the play of their starting pitchers than it is from a guy batting in the number 9 hole no matter who it ends up being.
  13. goins isn't going to get 600 PA
  14. I'm glad this thread is heating up again....I don't think it's been properly debated..lol
  15. I'll agree Happ was ridiculous signing, but you can't overlook the value of EE on 9 mil AAV or Bautista on 13 mil AAV either...
  16. that would be suicide....given the salary escalation you can't trade a guy who's on that contract bringing that production....I'd rather overpay for one of the three starters out there than trade 3 years of EE for 2 years of Price....filling one hole and creating another will not get the jays where they need to be...
  17. the lineup still has Johnson, Roberts, jeter, texiera and Soriano in it....some old injury risks there....I don't think the jays score a ton more runs than the yanks...but I think they will score more...they scored 62 more runs last year and the jays still finished well back of them..
  18. the jays might score the most runs in the AL and still finish 3rd or 4th in the division....lol
  19. The jays still have a much better offensive lineup imo than the yanks....but we need a lot of upside surprises in the rotation....come on AA let's sign an arm....
  20. You do realize in order to have signed tanaka the jays would have not only had to meet that offer...they would have had to have beat it....like 7 years 190....this board would have erupted in disgust if the jays had spent that much money on tanaka
  21. I misread your post.....I'm on your side....I thought you would take nova over the 5 guys on the jays staff...lol
  22. You are right....the yanks spend more than anyone else....there's only one solution...move the jays to Vancouver and get out of this division..lol
  23. okay that's absurd....Nova pitched well last year but has been up and down...he was not very good in 2012...not that I'm offering to take your bet...but I'm sure you can find a bookie that would take that at even money all day long..
  24. The yanks were old and vulnerable...last year..one year singular....lol...and the jays blew up...ahh..thank goodness I'm old enough to remember the 13 year drought the yanks went through...
  25. it's late in the game and who's going to bid these arms up? LAA will....but not sure many other teams will overpay...the sox yanks and dodgers seem to be set...I think Garza might come with less years because of the injury worries....he might be the guy to go after..but who knows.
