  1. Man....that one only went 320....perfect placement over the short wall.
  2. Randall.....At a boy! Thank you Loup....and the catcher too!
  3. why wouldn't you pinch hit for panik. You may not get around for another pinch hit opportunity.
  4. Every time Snyder goes out to the mound our hitter gets out. What's it going to take to steal Snyder from the Rays
  5. do we have to hit panik here.
  6. Espinal is fun to watch in the field.
  7. Finally we got Wendle. I find Wendle extremely annoying. He's so hard to get out!
  8. I think the same thing. He just has to learn to lay off bad pitches. He is making contact. His strike outs are down. The tools are there. The final piece is getting into good counts and laying off garbage. That is a final step that some never get to.
  9. I said he needs to improve his plate discipline...lol That comes with major league at bats for some, less so for others. I'm not sure how Rowdy will progress. Vogelbach doesn't swing at bad pitches and he has a career .196 batting average. That is concerning to me.
  10. Doesn't that concern you? Vogelbach doesn't swing at bad pitches and he's a league average hitter. He doesn't have a very good swing. Rowdy swings at a bunch of garbage and is a league average hitter. He has a much more athletic swing. If Rowdy can develop some better plate discipline he could be a great hitter. I think it's going to be harder for Vogelbach to be much better than league average.
  11. 12 mil just doesn't buy what it used to...
  12. I wish he was in the mid 4s...lol
  13. Dozier isn't a short stop, but either is Panik. He can fill in for a few spot starts. I'd much rather see Dozier at 3rd today than Drury. Dozier is an easy replacement for either Drury or Panik. He's league min and has put up 23 WAR in his career. Even last year he was a league average bat and put up 1.7 WAR. That's a lot better than Panik or Drury IMO.
  14. Eddie had a .160 average and a .593 OPS after 100 ABs in 2018 and he finished with an .810 OPS for the season and was close to .900 the rest of the way. I'd rather have Eddie than Vogelbach, but we've already made the move. It would cost us a little more money, but there's way more upside.
  15. Dozier played short his first year. Panik's first game at short stop was this year. A Dozier for Panik move doesn't change anything. It just gets rid of Panik. If anything, Dozier has more experience playing short at the big league level.
  16. Kirk at Centre, Vladdy at left guard, Vogelbach at right guard, Tellez at left tackle and Ryu at right tackle.
  17. Can we go get Dozier and get rid of Panik? I'm sure this doesn't move the needle much, but I'm tired of watching Panik.
  18. Since we're on the topic of picking up free guys. Can we go get Dozier and get rid of Panik?
  19. Vogelbach's a couple years older and has some more plate appearances. He has much better plate discipline and is swinging at better pitches and has a league average bat for his career. Rowdy chases far more bad pitches. He's improved his contact rates and isn't striking out as much despite chasing even more pitches outside the zone and he has a league average bat for his career Is it easier to improve in making quality contact or improve in your plate discipline? Typically your pitch recognition and plate discipline will improve with the number of ABs you have at the MLB level but we've also seen guys who never improve. We've also seen guys make a mechanical adjustment or two and improve contact.
