Font probably shouldn't have been allowed to face 5 batters. In hindsight, pulling your veteran starter after he surrendered his first walk of the night and was facing the bottom of the order might not have been ideal.
I actually feel pretty good about Shun starting. He's looked pretty decent his last couple outings. He got a bit of a raw deal at the start of the year. He was put in a couple tough situations to make your first couple appearances in the league.
Shun hasn't pitched since the 20th. He pitched 2.2 innings with 4Ks and no hits and no runs with 54 pitches thrown. He was stretched out because of necessity. He was a big part of that 9 to 8 win against the Phillies. He's the logical choice to start tomorrow. He could probably throw 70 pitches.
Now we really need to go get Dozier if Shaw goes to the DL. We need someone other than Drury to play third. We could just bring Groshans up as an alternative.
Shaw is the only one who can play third. As much as I'm a bit underwhelmed with Shaw, he's still a mile better than Drury. That's why we need to trade for Boegarts!
