    It's so frustrating to watch. We all could predict that Espinal was going to fail there. Previous inning Schneider was so quick to pull KK for a RHH for the RH/LH matchup. KK has been a superior hitter to Espinal all season no matter which hand the pitcher throws with. Same scenario comes up with Espinal and Schneider does f*** all except watch the inning end.

    Stop comparing Albies contract to a potential Schneider offer. It's even further off than Whit's. Albies was an MLB top 10 prospect and 20 years old. Schneider wasn't even top 10 for us.

    This is my thinking. Balance out the contract so he gets more money up front instead of league minimum for the next few years.

    If Schneider keeps this up for the rest of the season should the team try to sign him to a long term deal in the offseason? If Schneider is legit it could be a huge value contract for us. I'm talking like a 6 year/20M + 2 team option years for 10M each type deal. Who says no?

    Speedy seems to be the biggest offender at the moment. 5 adds since the beginning of April.

    What about if the cutdown is reinstated? Gotta cut to 20 players + 14 prospects, bring back previous playing thresholds for callups. Keep it at one draft, extend it some number of rounds, and all players are game in the draft, both prospects and roster guys. It wouldn't happen this offseason, but could start next. Might boost activity next trade deadline as well, with people knowing they can only keep 20.
