  1. Ian Happ? Or a multi player trade with the White Sox.
  2. They’re the type of people that go around telling children there’s no Santa Clause.
  3. They’re also concerned about customs. Which probably takes a whole 2 minutes for the players.
  4. Kim? Only 1 year remaining so not really a longterm piece for the Padres. Could be our 3B next year. Would allow us to ease in Orelvis. If Orelvis takes off Kim can slide over to 2B.
  5. Some big movers in the MLB draft. Cleveland gets #1, and the Reds get #2. Cleveland had the 10th worst record, the Reds had a winning record.
  6. I think it's just the Yankees, being Yankees. The article also states... I think the Yankees are just jealous that the Jays are getting Ohtani, so they're trying to make themselves feel better.
  7. So now he's really going to let himself go.
  8. Is Rafael Lantigua Rule-5 eligible? I know that he was set to be, but the Jays originally didn't renew his minor league contract. He was then a FA. Jays then brought him back on a minor-league contract with invitation to spring training. Does this release and then signing make him ineligible for the rule-5 draft?
  9. Sign Ohtani, trade for Soto and give him his extension. Then trade Vladdy for prospects to recoup the farm. Use Horwitz at 1B.
  10. Dodger's also don't have a Japanese player on their team?
  11. Bluejays stadium is one of the handful that are directly downtown within minutes walk for numerous condos. That could appeal to him, get as much sleep as possible, zero commute to the stadium. Have that penthouse condo for the summer. Toronto is one of the most diverse cities as well.
  12. Players start to decline around 29-30. Arozarena is 29 in Feb. I think we’ll see him drop from a 20-20 player to 15-15 or 15-10 pretty quick. He’s seemed to out perform his xAVG and xSLG his past few years as well. Might not even get 10sb with another team, he’s not an efficient base stealer.
  13. Sign Hoskins, trade for Eloy Jimenez throw him in LF. Varsho is good enough in CF he could make up for Eloy’s s***** D.
  14. Marketing. Ohtani brings eyes. Ohtani Marketing Profit >>>> 3 randoms.
  15. Kyle Lewis as a bench option would be interesting. There’s a chance he comes into the year healthy and rakes.
  16. JPR also brought in both Bautista and EE
  17. Lol Matthews didn’t take a hometown discount. Hometown discount would have been signing for the same as McKinnon and McDavid. Willy will be looking to reset the market for Wingers.
  18. Of course they can. It’s just about finding the right supporting cast. Their odds of winning with those 3 are better than winning without that trio.
  19. They have to pay for Ohtani somehow. All these new renovations the past couple years seem to lead up and align with an Ohtani signing.
  20. Wonder how much of this has to do with this being his contract year? Wonder if he'll start drifting around again once he lands that big contract. If they think he's for real though they'll have the space to sign him back. They have a projected $34M in space for next season.
  21. And how many injuries did each actually see.
  22. I ended up getting Kershaw. I’d flip him if the profit was high enough though.
