  1. Clement having an awesome spring! Hopefully he keeps that momentum going into the regular season. Would be nice to see Wagner and/or Roden crack the starting lineup come Opening Day.
  2. Would definitely be a good challenge trade if Boston could lock up Vladdy to an extension. Devers has a higher floor. You know you're going to get around 4 WAR from him each season and he's locked up for $310M which is pretty decent. Vladdy on the other hand has much higher upside, but we've seen Vladdy also with a lower floor where he put up a 1.3 WAR season in 2023. Would entertain the idea especially if the Jays can't lock up Vladdy and are just going to let him walk away for nothing. But yeah worried Vladdy goes all Manny Ramirez in Boston for the next decade haha.
  3. Soto is also 26-years-old whereas Ohtani was 30. But yeah IMO, would rather pay Ohtani more than Soto from a baseball, fan and business perspective.
  4. Jays would actually be better re-signing Bo for $200-250M and get 3-4 WAR seasons out of him rather than giving Vladdy $500M.
  5. He was the most annoying sports personality in the history of sports. The guy was awful.
  6. Montreal would need a new ballpark located downtown or by the waterfront. Olympic Stadium is garbage and in the middle of nowhere. Would prefer seeing a team out in Vancouver, but probably won't happen with the Mariners too close. As well, I see MLB preferring US cities over Montreal. Baseball didn't work out in Montreal unfortunately so don't see why Montreal would be considered again for a MLB team. Cities like Nashville or Portland or Charlotte or Salt Lake City would be way more attractive options. Additionally, I think MLB would put a team in Mexico City or Punta Cuna or Puerto Rico before they bring a team back to Canada.
  7. Hopefully Y-Rod emerges as a top reliever in the pen. I really think he can be a valuable arm who gives the Jays around 70-80 innings with 100+ K's and a 2 WAR season. Even his numbers/splits from Cuba show he has been more effective coming out of the pen, than in the rotation.

Yeah I don't blame you. Just saw yesterday Barnes, Barrett and Quickley were out. Plus the remaining opponents suck anyways lol. Raptors have one of the easiest schedules remaining, so it's going to be tough to tank haha. But yeah if you want your kid to experience an NBA game, probably a good time to go in terms of ticket prices. Also, the experience more than anything at Raptors games is fun. I'm sure they won't bench all their starters for the remaining home games coming up. Just probably will limit their minutes.

Only 5 home games left after tonight. Games are dynamic pricing, so varies depending on matchup and date. These are the remaining games. Sun March 23rd - vs. San Antonio Fri March 28th - vs. Charlotte Thu April 3rd vs. Portland Fri April 4th vs. Detroit Wed April 9th vs. Charlotte (sold) Could do $120 per pair to either the San Antonio or Portland game. The Friday games against Charlotte or Detroit, could do $150 per pair.
  10. Jays win 88 games. They grab one of the wild card spots. Scherzer wins the AL Cy Young Vladdy hits 60 HR's Hoffman saves 40 games Santander doesn't live up to the hype: hits under 30 HR's and bats .220 Bo wins the batting title, and has a 30/30 season. Yariel Rodriguez posts a 2 WAR season out of the pen. Bowden Francis only makes 20 starts and has an ERA above 4. Varsho has a "Brent Rooker" type breakout.
  11. Brooks Raley would be an interesting target as well for a LHP. Posted seasons of 0.8, 1.0 and 0.7 WAR from 2021-2023 and has a career 10.23 K/9. He would definitely provide more floor than Little and Walker.
  12. Tim Collins gets his first career save this season so the Hurl goes streaking on the field at the Rogers Centre.
  13. Gotta hope Yariel steps up in a big way and turns into a lights-out reliever. The Nick Sandlin 2021/2022 version is greatly needed as well. Signing someone like David Robertson or Joe Kelly would be nice if possible.
  14. I wish the dislike button still existed.
  15. Are you really comparing the contract Soto got compared to Ohtani when talking about Kirk? I know the market has gone up over the last couple of years for FA's, though we've also seen it crater with some top FA's as well. What does Kirk base his new contract off of? Will Smith in March 2024 signed a 10-year extension worth $140M including a $30M signing bonus along with deferrals. He's not getting anything close to what Smith got with LA. I don't think Kirk is in any position to demand top value just yet given his offensive production the last two seasons with a 96 wRC+ and 94 wRC+ in 2023 and 2024 lol. Defensive minded only catchers who are good for 2-3 WAR aren't difficult to find and don't usually cost a lot through FA. I'm all for signing Kirk to a modest extension that buys out 3 or 4 years of free agency. You don't have to throw close to $20M at him in order for him to sign on the dotted line lol. If you give him a 5 or 6 year extension similar to what Murphy got or a bit more, he likely accepts once he sees all that guaranteed money.
  16. You don't need to extend Kirk for $20M AAV per season lol. I think you can extend him for way less. Sean Murphy two years ago got 6 years/$73M at $12.17M AAV and was coming off a 5.2 WAR season and was 27-years-old. As well, if I recall, there hasn't been a catcher in free agency who got big bucks over the last two years, so nothing really for Kirk's camp to compare with.
  17. You guys don't remember Gabe Gross at all? It's great seeing a lot of the Buffalo guys raking so far during ST though you need to temper expectations. There's also two plus weeks left in ST as well. Hopefully we can get one or two of them sticking in the lineup on a regular basis.

They've been increasing the prices every year. I started off paying $4500 for the pair of tickets back in 2014. Now I'm paying $9800 (including taxes) for next season. There is still a waiting list for season tickets and my seats are aisle seats so don't want to give them up. But yeah paying close to 10K for upper bowls is ridiculous especially given how poorly they've played.
  19. He traded William Contreras as well in order to land Sean Murphy. The Napoli/Francisco trade was awful. Napoli would have been a nice fit here even as a 1B/DH. The guy had monster power. At least AA went out and signed Russell Martin in his last year with the Jays.
  20. Kyle Gibson still available. If I were the Yankees, would sign him pronto.
  21. Not sure if it's just me, but when navigating through the forum, finding that load times when opening new threads/pages to be really slow and lagging.
