    I agree, it has been a great offseason to date, even if the Jays don't do anything else. Glad ownership opened up the pocketbooks or else, there isn't much Atkins could do. Sure with one more big addition like Alonso or Bregman and/or locking up Vladdy, would consider that an "epic" offseason. Kudos to ownership!

    B+ or A- who cares, not much of a difference lol. I don't think there is anything "epic" about being given a huge payroll and signing FA's where Toronto likely is the only team competing for their services (e.g. Hoffman, Santander & Mad Max). I give kudos to ownership more than Atkins for these recent moves. As for Gimenez, sure nice trade to pull off, but don't make it seem like Atkins stole him away from Cleveland lol. Gimenez came with a $19.37M AAV who is locked up until 2029. There is a reason why Cleveland wanted to let him go and clear his salary. Lucky the Jays had the payroll, or else Atkins can't make that move. Overall, it has been a solid offseason even if the Jays do nothing going forward. Definitely more pleased with it in comparison to last offseason.

    Will be "epic" if they land both Alonso + Bregman and lock up Vladdy. Heck, even one of Alonso or Bregman with Vlad locked up, would call it "epic." Right now, it's been a solid B+ offseason for them. Wouldn't say it has been "epic."

    Thoughts on Manoah as an arm coming out of the pen? Was discussing it with a co-worker today. Would be interesting to see if Manoah would become a dominant elite closer or reliever. Would be a cool experiment.

    Hopefully the Jays coaches and staff could keep him healthy for the duration of the season. Like you said, if we can get 20 regular season starts out of him + the Postseason, would take that.

    Who said Atkins was the worst GM in team history? I guess any negative criticism of him from others makes you think that.

    Atkins/Shapiro given close to a $300M payroll and the sad reality is they could still f**k it up.

    Didn't start off that well and just a couple of weeks ago with the Sasaki fiasco, things were still looking bleak, though at least the team did have a pivot after losing out on Soto, Burnes, Teo, Sasaki and others. Whereas last offseason, after Ohtani they didn't do to much to upgrade the roster and the waiting game left them with guys like Turner, IKF, Volgelbach and Votto instead. Think the Sasaki negative press definitely lit a fire under Atkins' and this front office to do something and glad we saw them go out and make a big splash in Santander and now Scherzer. Overall, definitely give them a solid B+ thus far. If they go out and add another big bat like Alonso or Bregman and/or resign Vladdy, definitely bump their offseason to an A or A+.

    Definitely looking forward going down to the Rogers Centre and watching some of Max Scherzer's starts this spring and summer! Imagine if the Jays can get a Rogers Clemens type season out of him haha.

    Not sure if it's just me, but the pages in each thread seem to go on forever since we got to scroll down a lot. Like I have to scroll down over posts I've already read and it takes a while to get to the new ones down at the bottom of the page. As well, the ads in the middle of the threads when scrolling down through posts. Prefer them on the side, top or bottom of the pages. Not in the middle of posts.
