  1. Espinosa in 2011 and 2012 averaged higher than 3 WAR. He'd be the best fit here in my opinion, especially based on the cost to acquire him.
  2. 4 years at $30 million (if true) is a great signing.
  3. It's just so irrational signing middle relievers to 3 year deals.
  4. I know its not rational. When a No. 5 starter like Jason Vargas get's a 4 year deal worth $32 million, its quite irrational.
  5. Infante's career BB% = 5.4 J.P. Arencibia's career BB% =5.3
  6. Then why hasn't a team already locked him up already if that's such a great deal? Don't get me wrong, I like Infante, though he's a second tier second baseman, and just the idea of the Jays paying him $12 million has me cringe. I use Scutaro's contract as a benchmark. I'd go 3/$24 on Infante, or slightly more considering that he's younger and all, though we're talking about a player whose BABIP was crazy high this past season, doesn't hit for power, turning 32, is nothing special defensively and who has a worse BB% than J.P. Arencibia over the past 3 seasons! I just don't feel comfortable giving him a 4 year deal worth $40 + million, which to me is quite excessive considering the type of player he is.
  7. So who cares what Steamers think? Steamers had Salty projected at 3 WAR and everyone on here was saying he was crap. Infante isn't even projected for the same WAR and everyone on here is raving on how signing him to $10 AAV over 4 years is such a bargain.

  9. Was he even a choice in the contest lol?
  10. I think 3/$24 million is fair for him. I wouldn't go any higher for the type of player he is.
  11. For Infante? $15 million per season? Are you nuts?
  12. Infante is not a 3 WAR player and he likely won't ever be one again. His BABIP was crazy high and he hardly get's on-base. He isn't anything special and he's definitely not a player I'd dish a 4 year contract out too.
  13. Just trade for Danny Espinosa already. Would cost nothing in a trade and won't make much through ARB.
  14. Infante really hasn't been anything special and is now 32.
  15. Brett Gardner is an elite player. He would have been a great fit as their CF.
  16. Amaro probably fapped hard at Aaron Small's 10-0 season with the Yankees back in 2005. Unbeaten! Over a full season, looking at 25-0!
  17. I'm a huge Daniel Hudson fan though he's unlikely to pitch in 2014. Plus I think he stays in Arizona.
  18. I could see Pomeranz getting his career back on track somewhat. Still is only 25 years old.
  19. Likely would have been something like Drabek + a low level prospect to acquire Anderson.
  20. The Jays seriously are just better signing Garza or Tanaka rather than trade EE for David Price. Sure the Jays would add an ace, though then they lose a huge bat in EE. Price is likely going to get a lot through ARB so why not just sign a pitcher like Garza for similar AAV or slightly more and the Jays get to keep EE. That's more rational than trading EE for Price.
  21. I could likely see AA in on Colon if he is only demanding a 1-2 year deal since AA publicly stated that the Jays won't be in on any of the big FA starters like Garza, Ubaldo, Santana (well he's hinted at that).
  22. I wouldn't mind LoMO as a 1B or DH if the Jays planned on trading Adam Lind. LoMo could get on-base at a decent clip and does have some untapped potential. I think he could hit 20-25 HR's playing half his games at the Rogers Centre. He'd be a good buy low candidate.
  23. Where would Trumbo play though? Goldy is locked at 1B. They have Davidson at 3B, and likely could only use Prado between left and 3B.
