  1. Won't be making a comeback in Toronto. Pitchers who are looking to rebuild their value/make a comeback hate pitching here. I don't want to see a post after Mark Mulder signs with a team saying "oh the Blue Jays missed out on a huge bargain" lol
  2. And a Cy Young Award. In all seriousness, you can't say Salazar is better than Price right now. Sure he's under club control for the next 6 years and has huge upside though who says he reaches his potential of being a No. 1 guy. I really like Salazar, though Price is still superior in my view over the next 2 seasons easily. For an example, Aaron Sanchez can go out there next season lets say and look dominant in 8-10 starts. Does that mean he'd be a better pitcher than David Price?

  4. Not even a jersey worthy minor league free agent to get excited about
  5. Fantastic deal for the White Sox. They get a solid middle of the order bat at the hot corner, and who's also a solid defender as well. Kevin Towers has made stupid deals these past couple of years. I actually like what the White Sox have been doing this offseason. Signing Abreu, trading for Eaton, and now acquiring Matty Davidson.
  6. He would have been a nice pickup on a minor league deal. Was hoping the Jays would have given him a minor league deal.
  7. Amaro is just fapping over those 17 wins.
  8. Danny Espinosa is the best option. Seriously, I'm shocked AA hasn't acquired him yet. He loves making trades.
  9. Great deal indeed for Atlanta. A healthy Floyd gives them a very good No 3 starter, and pitching in the NL is a plus. Floyd was already a solid pitcher in the AL, so I'd expect if he's healthy, he likely could even have better numbers.
  10. I'd be interested to know if AA contacted Floyd's agent. Though if I'm in Gavin Floyd's shoes and trying to rebuild my own value, I'd rather pitch in Atlanta over Toronto. If Atlanta gave Floyd $6 million, I'm sure it would have cost Toronto around $9-$10 million to lure him north of the border.
  11. I would have liked Floyd in a Blue Jays uniform, though don't you think Floyd would rather pitch in Atlanta instead of Toronto?
  12. John McDonald…oops they traded him like a couple of years ago.
  13. Michael Young now is awful.
  14. We haven't heard any input from BTS, who is a die hard Rays fan and has posters and statues of Andrew Friedman in his bedroom lol.
  15. And what makes you think Infante will hold his own over the next 4 years at the age of 32?
  16. At the price he signed for, agreed! At 4 years/$40 + million like how some posters were suggesting, I wouldn't have felt comfortable.
  17. I think we all know Mike Trout would get a 10-year deal worth $300 million if he was a FA lol. But yeah, it's not right that another MLB team tampers another players value like that.
  18. I guess since Espinosa sucked last season because of injuries, his 2011 and 2012 season don't count, despite him being only 26 years old. Though an aging Omar Infante who had a super high BABIP, can't take a walk (and we're talking BB% JPA bad) and who isn't anything special defensively and offensively is definitely worth $40 + million!
  19. How do we know AA never targeted Infante?
  20. Before his injury, he was a rising young talent. There is value to be had with him. He posted a 3.2 WAR and 3.4 WAR in 2011 and 2012 respectively. He's young, has pop, speed and is sound defensively. Having hit 8th or 9th in the Jays lineup doesn't hurt the offense at all. Everyone on here is fapping for Dustin Ackley and most posters on here were praising Omar Infante and how the Jays should sign him at $40 + million! Give me a healthy Espinosa (2011 & 2012) anytime over Omar Infante.
  21. Espinosa had a 3.2 WAR in 2011 and 3.4 WAR in 2012. In my opinion, he'd be a better option than Infante.
  22. There was no way Infante was getting 4/$40 million. I just couldn't see a team dishing that out for him. Scutaro's deal signed a couple years ago with the Giants was the benchmark for Infante in my opinion.
