  1. Pillar in left field? Seriously? Kawasaki at 2B? Awful lineup.
  2. Well places like Florida have the climate for beaches all year round lol. I'm sure Toronto with a summer climate 12 months of the year would be a lot better. Plus, Florida isn't as great as it seems to be. You have hurricane season every late summer/fall and its not like all parts of Florida are thriving. Places in Tampa, Orlando, heck even Miami are shitholes and dives. There are parts in the U.S. I wouldn't dare live in. As for Atlanta, I flew into the city a lot since flying Delta, that's a major hub for them. There is not much to do in Atlanta, trust me. I have a feeling its like Cincy but on a larger scale.
  3. Without a transponder, I believe it's like $7-8 per ride from lets say the 427 to Yonge Street/Bayview. Round trips costed around $16 which is crazy expensive. I don't have to rely on it since I live in the southern part of the city, though for people that live further north, it's a huge expense especially when you factor in gas prices as well. They keep the highway in great shape however. It's one of the smoothest rides and its so open!
  4. I'd like to see the city make the Gardiner a toll road. Don't charge as much as the 407 obviously, though $1 per ride/day on it could generate a lot of revenue for the city and keep the highway in better shape and likely would pressure more people to rely on public transit.
  5. Mate, it went both ways. I'm trying to reach out and make amends, though you keep playing hardball. Laugh it up and lets move on. I want to enjoy another Jays game sitting beside the classic Jay, nothing beats that. Its something everyone should experience.
  6. The 407 is great to drive on. You can sometimes drive 130-140 km/hr. Using it on a regular basis though would be expensive, even with the transponder. It's definitely a huge expense I would imagine.
  7. The US Open is on TSN guys. I suggest you switch and let go of your anger.
  8. I found NYC stunk in the summer/humidity. Toronto isn't as bad unless you get close to the lake; garbage sewage plants near the Ontario Food Terminal. I would never swim in Lake Ontario. Would rather swim up north on a small lake in Muskoka. People are friendly - obviously your not going to talk to people on the TTC when people are either in a hurry, rush, heading to work etc. GO Train is likely a better place to start up a conversation. I hate Woodbridge with a passion. All the people that live there are stuck up and the place just sucks. And this is coming from an Italian! Rob Ford has actually done a good job as mayor for this city. Aside from his private life, he's done a solid job. I'm sure there are many more politicians who do much worse than Rob Ford has done. Toronto traffic is awful. The 401 is the most congested highway in North America. And all the construction going on pisses me off. Everywhere you turn, there's construction. The TTC trains are first class, though they need to expand big time. A major city like Toronto can't just depend on two subway lines. Raptors look like they are on the rise. And the Argos have played meaningful games every year! I prefer the women in Montreal better than Toronto. They are more classier. But yeah, couldn't care. It's not like every time I go out downtown I'm looking to get laid. The city is usually dead after 2 AM. Last call should be later. In Spain, people are partying until 4-5 AM, even later. Toronto is more of a weekend town. It's usually pretty dead during the week. In Europe, it's a lot more relaxed. I even found that in Australia.
  9. I mean it in a good way. I like you Spanky, and I want to put all of this behind us and start fresh. You're a good guy and I don't hold any grudges against you.
  10. Because he threw an ice cream bar at a scout? I read it somewhere on Twitter lol.
  11. Wanna meet up for drinks beforehand? First pint is on me.
  12. I only took the subway in Philly to Citizens Bank Park for the Phillies game. It wasn't anything special, though it was quick and they had express trains which was very convenient as well. The TTC trains are definitely a lot nicer than the ones in Philly, and I'd even say they are much nicer than the ones in NYC, Chicago etc. TTC really needs to step up there services.
  13. Everytime I step onto the TTC, I hear over the PA system that there is a delay at such and such station due to signal issues and shuttle buses are on route lol. It's a joke transit system and I'd agree one of the worst. More subway lines are needed and they need to gut the streetcars on Dundas Street and Bathurst since they cause so much congestion. They f***ed up St. Clair pretty good as well. It's awful.
  14. Haha that's crazy about Tokyo. I want to travel to Japan someday and watch a bunch of baseball games. Road trip with Gibbers! London's Tube system is amazing, and the subway system in NYC might look dirty and in the summer its like a sauna though it takes you where you need to go and is very reliable. Getting around Europe is easy - trains take you everywhere!
  15. The TTC is a joke. For a major city, there should be more than just two subway lines. It's crazy and makes it so difficult to get across the city. The best public transit I've seen was in Melbourne and Sydney.
  16. There are some shitholes in Canada. Who would want to live in some east coast towns, or places in BC where crime rates are through the roof? I prefer Montreal to Toronto (my opinion) and I heard Vancouver was a beautiful city as well (never been) though from what I've heard it sounds better than Toronto. Other places like Hamilton, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Calgary - I'm sure Toronto is a lot better.
  17. If you lived in NYC, there is no need to own a car. London traffic I heard is pretty bad. Also, traffic in LA I heard is the worst. Also imagine Tokyo.
  18. The 401 is a s*** storm. That highway is always busy no matter what time of day. Pain in the ass.
  19. Yeah I told one of my friends that I wanted to go to South Africa, and she told me look at how dangerous it is so I typed out the most dangerous cities in the world on Google, and St. Louis appeared in the Top 50 lol.
  20. The ballparks look beautiful, not denying that. They are both great baseball cities. St. Louis is one of the worst cities in the States, along with Baltimore and Detroit. Look it up as well lol.
  21. I've been to Cincy to see the Jays play back in 2011 and the city is an absolute ghost town. There is hardly anything to do there and most of the city is sketch. You have to cross the bridge to go to Newport Kentucky, which is a nice area for bars, restaurants etc.
  22. Not compared to places like Detroit, Cincy, Cleveland, Baltimore, Atlanta, St. Louis, Minnesota, Milwaukee. Heck I'd even say LA is pretty much a dump, unless you go outside the city.
  23. Toronto > than some s*** holes in the U.S.
  24. Allan Rickman was one of the best villains/bad guys ever in that movie!
