  1. Desmond is touching 30, and if his power numbers decline some what, he loses significant value. His overall batting line isn't anything sexy. Since he's a SS who could hit between 20-25 HR's, and get dem 80-90 RBI along with 20 SB, he's an attractive asset in fantasy. Don't get me wrong, Desmond is a top SS in fantasy baseball if he hits for power, though he worries me especially long term. His other offensive numbers haven't been anything special and wRC+ has dropped three consecutive years from 128 to 108. His .255/.313/.430 slash line isn't that sexy if he doesn't produce those 20+ HR's, 80-90 RBI and 20 + SB. I just wouldn't touch Desmond anywhere in the Top 50-60 picks of a draft. He's still one of the top SS's right now, though that shows you how weak the position is after someone like Tulo. I've owned Desmond in other dynasty leagues and I've traded him in both instances. Sure Desmond > Castro now, though over the next five years I'd rather own Castro than Desmond. At least Castro has shown he can hit and I still believe he has some untapped power potential.
  2. Yeah probably wouldn't get a Carey Price lol, though I'd be willing to move Toews in the offseason for a goalie who could provide Top 25-30 value.
  3. I'd rather roll the dice on Castro moving forward over a guy like Desmond for example. SS is such a weak position in fantasy. After Tulo, the drop-off is huge.
  4. Starlin Castro is available for teams looking for a young SS. He rebounded nicely last season and he has the upside to take his offensive game to another level. He's still only 24!
  5. I'd be open to moving Toews for an elite goalie. It's something I'd entertain in the offseason since I'm sure teams in contention right now wouldn't want to move a Carey Price for example.
  6. I think I ended up flipping Berkman for Wily Peralta shortly afterwards as well. I've made some poor decisions in this league however. Jake Arrieta still haunts me and NJH will probably rub that one in my face for the next decade.
  7. Shoot I made deals with Boxy in the past? I guess we got along back then
  8. It will be tougher to make moves now and during the season agreed. I'll have to get creative with some pieces already on my MLB roster. I don't mind trading someone like a Starlin Castro, Andrew Heaney or one of my other arms in order to make upgrades.
  9. Outside of Faulk's +/- this season, he's definitely a young defensemen on the rise. Scandella is getting a lot of minutes in Minny and looks like he can be a breakout candidate possibly next season. Yeah I probably shouldn't have included Kronwall in the deal, my mistake. Should have started lower first. Regardless, outside of you and BTS there wasn't anybody else who inquired about the Sedin's, and judging by the market it seemed like players 35 + just weren't hot commodities around the league.
  10. Bernier, Lupal, Comeau, Erhoff, and Beleskey are available. Also, will entertain offers on Toews and Faulk, so if you want to take advantage of me this could be your opportunity!
  11. I told you that I was looking more at someone who was already in the NHL. My deal with BTS had nothing to do with what happened over the summer.
  12. Oh I know, though hearing that Santana could go 2nd overall baffles me. Nobody valued the guy when I was shopping him. His SS/CF eligibility and his SB potential makes him look nice, though don't think he posts that slash line again.
  13. Agreed. I can afford to be patient with him. He's also only 21 and he had a nice rookie season last year. You drafted him in the 12th round I believe, and I took Kronwall back in the 8th.
  14. Yeah the Sedin's have been OTB forever and I didn't receive any interest from anyone other than Spanky and I'm the one who went to BTS since he inquired about them back in December. There didn't seem like a huge market for them unfortunately and my preference was getting a young top NHL forward vs. prospects. Alex Galchenyuk is only 21 and is having a strong season with the Habs. BTS actually drafted him in the 5th round this past fall, where I drafted the Sedin's in the 4th and 6th. As for Kronwall, I offered him up because BTS originally didn't want to part with Galchenyuk at first. Probably should have offered a lesser defensemen first, though whatever. I definitely lose this deal now, though I'm hoping this deal helps me in the next year or two. Face it, my team wasn't going anywhere this season. I really like my core now moving forward with Toews, Landeskog, Duchene, Tatar, Galchenyuk, Beleskey and my defensive core of Faulk, Myers, Murray, Scandella. Plus, I have a ton of solid picks in the early rounds, so I'll be able to continue replenishing my farm system with younger talent. Fantasy Hockey isn't one of my strengths like baseball, so I was bound to make a bad move for once

From playing on a first place team with Stanley Cup aspirations to one of the worst teams in the league, I think anyone would be upset lol. Olli really stunk it up in Nashville though so he had to see this coming in terms of either being traded or released.
  18. Once you list the players/prospects you cut, then can they still be traded?
  19. What happened?
  20. We both put the past behind us and started fresh. Spanky is a great guy!
  21. Looking to move Starlin Castro, Carlos Beltran, Nelson Cruz, Mike Napoli, Aaron Hill, Andrew Headley, Phil Hughes. Send me a PM.
  22. Blake Comeau is back off the IR and is available if any playoff contenders are interested. Has both LW/RW eligibility and has been having a very nice season playing on the Penguins second line. He has 12 G and 9 A in 33 games this season, and he'll give you a ton of HITS!
