  1. Ryan Goins so far -0.2 WAR this season. Not holding his own.
  2. Looking for another top of the rotation arm to pair with Greinke. If you have a surplus of arms, send me a PM.
  3. I've got Kang in my ESPN dynasty league. I'm crossing my fingers the Pirates start playing him more. Regardless, he's been awful so far.
  4. That is top notch analysis!
  5. One is pitching in San Diego, and the other at Safeco.
  6. How many times have we heard that with young arms before?
  7. He's really injury prone, so for him to hold up for the rest of the deal is risky. I'm a huge McCarthy fan, though giving him 4 years wasn't the shrewdest signing by LA.

The best thing to take from this embarrassing first round loss to Washington is that Casey is canned in the next couple of days!

I'd like to see the Raps get swept because that likely means Casey is gone, which is what I'm hoping for!
  10. Thing with AA he does this every offseason, even in the last 2 of 3 the Jays decided to go all in. He doesn't address one certain area on the team that needs improvement with pieces who wouldn't break the bank anyways. This year he did nothing to improve the bullpen, which was a glaring weakness we knew about. Also, he didn't go and acquire another vet starter to ease the transition of the young guys like Norris, Sanchez and Stroman into the rotation. The years before that, he never acquired any depth on the bench or 2B and when those holes became glaring, the Jays didn't have a solution. It seems like he constructs a team well by making big moves (signing Martin, trading for Donaldson etc) though when it comes to filling out the roster with the last 5 guys, he has failed miserably.
  11. James Shields would have been a perfect signing for this team ugh.
  12. I do as well, though I've done it enough times at the Rogers Centre, which is one of the ugliest parks in baseball, especially when the roof is closed. When I visit ballparks down in the U.S. like Yankees Stadium, Wrigley, Fenway or any other ones for the first time, I love going like an hour and a half in advance and just take it all in. Even walking around the ballparks, checking out different sections, trying out different food. Rogers Centre is just boring and dull. I'll still go and watch Jays games, though I'm not dying to go like 2 hours early before first pitch and "take it all in" when its not an authentic baseball experience to begin with.
  13. I've done all that when I was younger. Unless its a certain players autograph I want or if I'm visiting a new ballpark, I have no desire to sit around 2 hours inside a closed roof Rogers Centre.
  14. I'd go down early to get a bobblehead or jersey, though I hate the NO in/out privileges at the Rogers Centre. You have to wait in the ballpark like 2 hours before first pitch. Plus, you're forced to eat lunch and buy drinks at the Rogers Centre by entering at 11 AM. At least at the ACC, you could scan your ticket leaving and come back like an hour later. I did that for the Raptors bobblehead giveaways on Friday nights. Arrived downtown around 5:30, got my bobblehead, scanned out and went to grab some drinks and a bite to eat before the game.
  15. David Ortiz started to become a stud in 2003, so at the age of 27-28. Bautista at the age of 29. Only chance Bautista gets any serious consideration if he plays at an elite level until his 40's and wins a World Series or two with the Blue Jays.
  16. Game 13 Miller vs (RHP) Travis (2pts) - Jonn Donaldson (1pt) -bronson44, Condor13 Joey Bats (1pt) - o2cui2i,baseballsss, CanadiansportsJunkie, jaysblue E Rex (1pt) - Pillar (5pts) - nowayjose, Trouba95 Martin (3pts) - Orgfiller, Dylan, vdub Smoak (2pts) - Atothe, Frenchsoup, Deadpool, BBBB Pompey (4pts) - Stangstag, Bluejays0988, GD, Angrioter Goins (7pts) - Bench (8pts) -
  17. Didn't Miller shut down the Jays last June when the Cards came to town?
  18. I don't see Jose Bautista or Cliff Lee getting any serious consideration for the HofF. Bautista is 34, though he'd have to stay healthy over the next 5-6 seasons and continue to play at an elite level until he's 40. Also, probably need to throw in a World Series or two.
  19. Boxy is dumb and can't read.
  20. I haven't been all that satisfied with the LOD so far. Just tough getting into. Also, it doesn't help that the Fantrax site layout is awful. Its annoying to use and I'm not a huge fan of the league settings/format. Just haven't had as much fun with this league as I anticipated. It is still early however, so I'll give it a chance. Though I'm more attached to my teams in the FC and DDL, more than the LOD thus far.

I agree. I'd rather go through the Wiz and face Atlanta in Round 2 instead of through the Bucks and then play Cleveland.

If the Raps take Game 1, I'm sure all those fans on this board will hop back on the bandwagon. And we'll be hearing from ECJF every second on how the Raptors can beat the Wizards...
