  1. I had plans to go to Houston if both the Astros/Blue Jays made it to the ALCS. Have a friend who works at a Hilton down there and got me her staff rates at $30 per night. Still could happen, but need to take it one game at a time.
  2. And all the casuals will forget about the Blue Jays and turn their sorry souls to watching hockey and the Leafs. They'll be back for the Home Opener, Canada Day, giveaway days, and in August/September if the Jays are in the postseason race again.
  3. It's like that any other ballpark, not just the Rogers Centre.
  4. Randal Grichuk pinch hit home run! He's available in the DDL.
  5. I wasn't that big of a fan of the Cards heading into the postseason. Outside of Lackey, the rotation isn't that scary. Lynn has really struggled over the last two months, no CarMart, Wacha was awful in September. Like the Cubs a lot better in a 5 game series. If the Cubs win this one tonight, they have Arrieta for Game 3 and possibly Lester on short rest for Game 4 or definitely for Game 5.
  6. What would you say Osuna's ceiling is as a starter?
  7. Doubt he would ever sign here, though how much do you think Jason Heyward will get this offseason as a FA? He'd be a perfect replacement in RF if the Jays decided to trade Bautista and would give the lineup a left-handed bat in the middle of the order.
  8. I likely don't see the Jays trading Bautista since he's considered a franchise cornerstone and it wouldn't be the greatest PR move, though he is a free agent after 2016 and likely will demand $20 M per season on a 4 or 5 year deal. He's not going to give the Blue Jays a discount (he already did after 2010). This would be his last big deal, so I'm sure Bautista is going to want to get paid. I hope the Jays could keep Bautista around, though paying a player 20+ million/per year as he enters his 40's isn't the most logical thing to do. You obviously don't want to lose Bautista and get nothing in return. So it's not that irrational of an idea as you think it is. If the Jays can't sign any top starters for big money like Price, then going the trade route seems most rational. Trading one of EE or Bautista this offseason I'm sure will be discussed internally.
  9. Estrada will demand more money than the average 5th starter. I could see a team giving him a 3 or 4 year deal after the season he had. I'd rather the Blue Jays go out and sign Shark or Leake.
  10. Any top pitchers that could be on the trade market? Might be AA's best option to add another ace, rather than dishing out 7-year deals for arms like Price or Greinke. I'd definitely go after Shark on a 1 or 2 year deal, I'm sure the Blue Jays will be all over him this offseason.
  11. I wouldn't be shocked to see AA trade one of Bautista or EE this offseason if he can't lock one of them up in order to add a top starter. For example, trade Bautista for a top veteran starter and sign Heyward to play RF (as well as give the Jays lineup some balance with a LHB in the middle of the order).
  12. I've never had a problem with the Tulo trade. He's locked up for the next couple of seasons, and the Jays got a far better all around shortstop which has made a huge difference down the stretch. The Revere and Mark Lowe trades didn't cost anything in terms of future value. Love having Revere back in 2016. As for David Price, since he's gone after the end of this season, that could be a tough one to swallow since the Jays gave up 5-6 years of control of Daniel Norris, for 12 starts from David Price. One plus I guess is that the Jays will have a window to negotiate with Price before the offseason begins. As well, since Price has said great things about his stay in Toronto, it definitely might open up the doors for future FA pitcher signings this offseason. Though in terms of future value, it was a bad deal for the Blue Jays.
  13. Wouldn't a Texas/Houston ALCS be boring and bad for ratings?
  14. Supposed to rain today. Sucks, should have been opened yesterday!
  15. I have tickets for next TFC Wednesday's game against the Red Bulls. Willing to sell them cheap.
  16. Supposed to rain tomorrow from what I've read.
  17. Who would have thought standing room tickets would have went up by $120 USD though lol? Cubs tickets are crazy expensive.
  18. They were $160 a couple of days ago, wow.
  19. I've got a 500 seat for tomorrow, so going to head early and try and get a spot along the railings in the 100 level infield. I've never been to the Alomar bar though that sounds cool. Where is that located in the dome? And if anyone tries for it today, let us know if its available to anyone a first come, first serve basis!
  20. What? That sucks, it such a beautiful October afternoon today. And tomorrow its expected to rain!
  21. I believe when selling electronic tickets on Stubhub (I've done it only once), you have to enter the ticket barcode in order to be verified. So everything is pretty legit. I've never had a problem with ordering tickets from them, same with Vivid Seats.
  22. Don't worry, everything is guaranteed with Stubhub. If you don't get into the event, call an agent and they will find you similar seats.
  23. How long would you say the security lines are? 15-20 minutes?
  24. Not sure, give it a try though.
  25. Download the Rogers Radio app, and you can stream the Fan 590 on it.
