    Pitch clock works fine. There should be a time limit for when a pitcher delivers a pitch. It's not that bad, as I'm sure most pitchers don't take more than 20 seconds between pitches, though there are some Steve Trachsel's out there that take way too long. Abolishing defensive shifts and the amount of pitching changes is stupid. What happens if a pitcher gets hurt or is way above their pitch count as a reliever? Maybe make it where when pitching changes take place, there are only 2-3 warmup pitches and thats it.

    I don't know what to make of Tommy Joseph. The guy looks like he could hit 30 HR's over a full season easily, though his other stats aren't that extremely sexy. Looks like a Mark Trumbo wannabe.

    I offered Danny Duffy, Joc Pederson, Luke Weaver, Lance Lynn, my 1st and 2nd round picks for Jose Altuve in the FC. Glad now that it wasn't accepted. Having the least mileage on his arm is a huge plus moving forward I think. It'll be interesting to see if he continues at this level next season. I'd still take Sale over him obviously because of the track record and like you said it's pretty close between Archer and Duffy where you can even make the case Duffy is a more valuable asset moving forward. Archer is on a team friendly deal though until 2020 with two team options. If Duffy continues pitching like this, he'll get paid.

    Presale for World Cup of Hockey tickets are on now. If anyone is interested in buying tickets, the promo code is TEAMCAN16. Cheapest tickets I believe for the first round are like $205 CAD (CAN/US game) which is quite ridiculous. I could only imagine how much the Semis or Finals would cost.

    If Edwin continues to hit like this into his late thirties similar to what David Ortiz has done in Boston as a DH, I don't have a problem with the Jays giving him a 3-4 year deal.

    There is no harm offering Saunders a QO. He may accept (which isn't the end of the world) and if he doesn't (then the Jays get a pick) or probably a chance to resign him cheaper later in the offseason if he doesn't sign a multiyear deal with another club.

    One good thing about this game is listening to the voice of Dan Shulman. As I type this, I'm hearing Kevin Barker and I'm now again frustrated.

    Agreed. Aaron Judge and Tyler Austin are looking to make names for themselves. The Yankees are playing for the future. And the future begins now!

    Don't the Blue Jays offer a payment plan if you renew? For example, with the Raptors payments are around $900 per month starting in April for my seats, and then the last two payments are around $450. For postseason tickets, its ridiculous that they charge you for every game & every series up front. Shocked they don't do it on a pay-as-you-go, game-to-game basis like the Raps do. You'll get your money back on games not played, but sucks taking up a huge balance on your credit card.

    Never said they should overpay to retain him over the next 3-5 years. Also, I wouldn't be upset if he's let go. The Jays have proven that they can win without Bautista. As for using the term "face of the franchise" it's kind of fuzzy and could be interpreted in different ways. I don't think it always has to be limited to only one player. I could think of a lot of baseball teams that have multiple guys who you could slap that label on (Giants with Bumgarner & Posey; Nationals with Stras & Harper; Red Sox with Pedroia and Ortiz; Cubs with Rizzo & Bryant; Tigers with Miggy & Verlander; Yankees with Jeter, Rivera, Williams etc).

    Bautista has been the face of this franchise since 2010 and played a crucial role especially at a time when fan interest with the Jays was near an all-time low with them trading Doc after 2009. Even if he leaves this offseason, he is one of the best players to ever wear a Blue Jays uniform. He's up there with all the greats, and deservingly so.

    There are some people out there who get trigger happy and panic when they miss out on getting tickets during the general sale, so good for you. As well, I find people who travel from out of town will buy tickets on StubHub weeks before an event to have that sense of security that they are attending that game/event.
