From a player development standpoint, they drafted Moncada, Benintendi, & Betts and he refused parting with them in packages for big name veteran players. Have to applaud that, especially in a market like Boston.
His FA track record yes is very poor, can't argue that. Though Porcello has blossomed this season and H-Ram is having a pretty decent season himself. Some of the trades he has made which involved solid controllable position players for BP arms were pretty disgusting.
Otherwise, he's probably a good head in the room to bounce ideas off of.
