  1. It was an important number back then for a starting pitcher. 300 wins meant getting into the HOF. Don't think its the case anymore however. Still if you're close to that milestone, why not? I would try and reach it. Not sure we'll see another 300 game winner again in today's age. Sabathia is probably the next one if he keeps pitching beyond 40.
  2. In 2001, he almost had a 400 K season lol. Nobody has reached close to 372 K's since then.
  3. Looking to move some bats: CF Eddie Rosario CF Randal Grichuk 2B/OF Ben Zobrist CF Lonnie Chisenhall OF Shin-soo Choo Would like to add another arm similar in value.
  4. Would like to add a closer if possible before the deadline. Doesn't have to be an elite arm, though someone who has a secure job and who won't hurt my ratios.
  5. I put 510 as the max distance on my original bracket with Judge winning. Though the rest of the bracket with my selections were messed up obviously.
  6. I've got Stanton and Judge in the Finals with Judge winning. My underdog picks are Sano & Bour with Sano winning it.
  7. Matt Davidson, Tim Beckham, Taylor Rogers and Ariel Miranda for me.
  8. So max prospects we can own is 12? So if I have 10 prospects, I can only use two picks correct?
  9. They get Sanchez back tonight which is a huge plus moving forward. Happ is pitching great, Stroman has been rock solid. They have one of the best closers in the game. Getting that win on Wednesday at Yankee Stadium was crucial, they needed it. The "it's still early" excuse Mike Wilner uses is no longer relevant. Have to win as many games now whether they are pretty or ugly. They need to take 3 of 4 against the Astros. They have Sanchez, Stroman and Happ lined up for the weekend, so hopefully they could win 2 of those 3. Huge going into the All-Star break. If they can hang around after the ASG leading up to the trade deadline, add some pieces that would break the bank that could give this team a boost. A second baseman and left fielder is what this team needs.

Weren't you the one suggesting Patterson was worth close to $70 million as a FA like last season? As a bench option, that's a very decent contract at $5M AAV, considering what other players have been getting in the NBA this offseason. Would have been nice if he came back to the Raptors at that amount. Patterson was never good enough to be a starting player. For a big guy, he's a bad rebounder and when he wasn't scoring he was pretty useless. As a 6th or 7th man, he isn't bad. Though giving him starters minutes would have been huge mistake.
  11. I bought a Syndergaard t-shirt two years ago at Citi Field. I'd definitely get Thor's and right now probably Judge for sure.
  12. Grant will probably blame Russia.

I don't think Tucker was all that special other than for his D obviously. Money could be better spent else where IMO.
  14. I'm stashing Anthony Gose in the LOD hoping he becomes the next Matt Bush.

Does JV have any trade value? I mean he's still young and has a very team friendly contract. Just curious as to what the Raps could get.

Also have to consider if LeBron leaves Cleveland after this season. If he does and goes to a team in the West like the Lakers, then the East is for the taking between the Raptors, Celtics, Wizards and Bucks.
  17. I still have 3 pairs of Cubs/Blue Jays tickets for Wrigley in August. Looking to sell all three at face value, so if interested just send me a PM.
  18. Haven't been to a Blue Jays game yet this season, so if I could find someone I'll let you know.

Which other players are available via free agency or trade?

I like Marleau, though 6M AAV is a lot for a player on the downside of his career & approaching retirement soon. Who else was going to offer that much? He's only a 40-50 pt player now, not a 70-80 pt guy anymore.

3 years? 6 million per? Isn't Marleau touching 40 almost? WTF!

Lowry re-signing with the Raptors. 3 years, $100 million. Good!
