Edwin Jackson was a disaster. Same with Bettis this week (though didn't stream him). Can't believe I came back to take the lead in ERA haha. Parker Bridwell was rock solid. Worried about starting Henderson Alvarez today & Chacin at Coors, though I guess I really don't have a choice since we're locked in a tie in wins and you have 3 guys going as well. Down 11-0 heading into the weekend, categories were still pretty close so glad that I've closed the gap a bit to give me a chance on the final day. Need another big day with the bats & some solid pitching. Looking forward to a tight finish hopefully.

Opening up the year with that outfield is a bit worrisome. I'd like to see the Jays at least target another veteran corner OF whether its Bruce, CarGo or JD Martinez. Other than Martinez who likely would cost the most, I don't see Bruce or CarGo being that crazy expensive. I really don't want to see Pearce & Carrera split time in the OF again. Would be depressing lol. Gurriel & Urena are solid replacements in case Tulo or Travis go on the DL. Depending on the length of the injury. If it's an extended amount of time again, might be best to give AB's to Gurriel, whereas Urena is a decent replacement for 1-2 weeks, though wouldn't want to see Urena getting 400 AB's. For the starting rotation, likely they bring back Estrada IMO as the No. 4 guy. A lot of possibilities for the No. 5 spot (Anderson, Liriano, Cahill, Fister, Chacin, Jimenez, Chatwood etc.). I'd keep Biagini either as the 6th starter, in case someone goes down with an injury. Prepare him as a starter in the offseason & ST. Bullpen: adding a LHP should be on the top of their list. McGee would be a nice add IMO. I'm fine with Osuna, Leone, Tepera, Barnes, Ramirez, Loup, and Biagini (long man) in the pen.

Ah when I did the spreadsheet search, nothing highlighted his name. But I see it now from doing it on my laptop. Damn. Thanks for the reminder though. I don't have anymore first rounders. So we would have had to come up with some other sort of punishment. Traded all my picks to Gibbers basically.

Cleveland gets a bad rap, though it's not that bad of a city to visit for a weekend if theres a sporting event going on. Went down last October for the ALCS. Cleveland fans are very friendly. As for some places to check out, Cleveland has a lot of good restaurants and craft beer places. East 4th Street is the happening area before and after baseball games. A lot of good bars & restaurants to check out. The Butcher & the Brewer is a real good spot for snacks and craft beer. The Greenhouse Tavern is a really good spot for dinner as well. Check out West Side Market one morning/afternoon. Pretty similar to the St. Lawrence Market. As well, the area around there is nice. A lot of good restaurants, bars & patios. Great Lakes Brewing Company is right nearby. As well, ate brunch at the Flying Fig which was a good spot! The Black Pig was also great and nearby as well. Checkout the cocktail bar on top of the Hilton downtown. They make good cocktails and you get a nice view at night of the surrounding area. Otherwise, never did any of the tourist stuff since we were only there for a weekend. Rock & Roll Hall of Fame I guess is something to see if you have time. Like other posters said, not much happening downtown. It's pretty much a ghost town at all parts of the day. Cleveland wasn't that bad. I'd go back again to catch some baseball games or maybe a Cavs/Raptors playoff game in the spring or something. Overall, if there really isn't any sporting event thats going on in the city, I wouldn't go out of my way just to visit Cleveland.

Both could end up s***ing the bed in 2018. I hope not though. You never know though with relievers, they're extremely volatile. Eg. Jeremy Accardo, Brandon League, Jesse Carlson, Shawn Camp etc.

Probably could be had on a 1 year deal with a club option at most for 2019. As long as you guarantee him a spot in the rotation on Opening Day, there is a good chance he could be resigned. I don't mind having him as a No. 5 starter (could do worse). The Blue Jays better make sure they have a decent arm waiting in the wings (Biagini, or someone else in AAA) that could pitch in case Anderson hits the DL. Teams won't be lining up to sign Anderson, so I don't see it tough bringing him back especially if you guarantee him a spot in the rotation. Liriano is a FA as well. Even bringing him back on a cheap 1 year deal as a No. 5 starter wouldn't be the worst thing.

I'll give Miggy a mulligan on this season. He wasn't 100% and has been one of the best hitters in the MLB for the past decade. Sure he could be slowing down, as every aging slugger does, though I wouldn't completely write him off just yet after one bad injury-plagued season. If he continues to be below replacement level again in 2018, then we can make that argument. Regardless, the contract even at the time when it was handed out likely was a mistake and there was a good chance that the latter part of the deal was going to be like throwing money out the window. So even then, there was the potential for it to be the worst contract in baseball.

Relievers come out of nowhere all the time. Shows you that sometimes you don't need to spend so much money on middle relievers. Jays have always done a good job at developing cheap BP arms. Might be a bullpen piece for 2018.

Bruce could probably hit 35-40 HR's playing half his games at the Rogers Centre and would add some nice balance to this lineup from the left side. He's a very streaky hitter though. He'll have his hot streaks, though his cold streaks could be downright ugly. Defensively he is a liability, though I could live with him in left field I suppose if he hits for power. Can't be any worse than Carrera/Pearce defensively. He probably won't cost that much this offseason if last season was any indicator for power hitters. I wouldn't have a problem if the Jays signed Bruce this offseason.

Wasn't able to see Otani when I was in Japan during the spring unfortunately. Saw a Fighters/Tigers game at the end of my trip, though he was still out with an injury. Managed to buy an Otani jersey when I was in Sapporo though, so that was cool!

100% agree. He could all of a sudden turn into Lyle Overbay again one season. Wouldn't surprise me.

Free agent year. I wouldn't hand Hosmer a huge contract expecting seasons of 140 wRC+'s moving forward.

If the Mets are healthy, could possibly see Thor pitch against the Jays which would be cool. If the Marlins keep Stanton, it'll be fun watching his at-bats. Braves & Phillies meh, though at least they shouldn't be that difficult opponents.

You can always go to PNC. The Blue Jays not playing there shouldn't stop you. It's only a 6 hr drive from Toronto.
