  1. For promoting rules, that only applies in the offseason correct? So would I have to promote Acuna Jr prior to the deadline?
  2. Great buy for you. If Rondon continues to close games in Houston for the rest of the year, it's a steal.
  3. When is the deadline to cut prospects for the draft?

    Go leafs go!!!!
  5. I could use a 3B with Longoria on the DL. As well, would like to make an upgrade at 1B.
  6. He's a very streaky hitter. He'll likely be hot for these next two weeks or so and then will have his 0 for 20's or 30's stretch.
  7. You managed to get a 2nd for Ben Lively and now a 3rd for Brad Brach this year. Applause.
  8. Do we have to make any prospect cuts anytime soon?
  9. Felix was one of my favourite pitchers back in the day. Sad to see him fade away this badly and he's still quite young, only 31-32, but he's been pretty bad for the last 2-3 years.
  10. This is why we should move this league to Fantrax.
  11. Yup, unless we see teams starting guys like Kenley Jansen, Chapman, Kimbrel, Hader at the beginning of the game for 1-2 innings, I don't think it isn't that huge of a deal. Teams would still want their best relievers for situations late in games.
  12. Two possibilities: 1) Vladdy will get called up in June. If the Jays are just hovering around .500 and continue to not get many fans at the games as they would like, they will call him up after the draft to spark interest in the team. As well, adding a bat like Vladdy to the lineup right now likely helps this team more than anything and could propel them to get back into the race. 2) If the Jays decide to trade Josh Donaldson at the trade deadline or befere, they will call up Vlad right away to play 3B to avoid the fan backlash against Rogers from trading Donaldson.

Sure. James Harden probably had his friends drop huge bones on the game in Vegas by telling them we're not showing up tonight, so bet against us. lol I'm busting everyone's chops. Though I'm sure regardless every league, whether the NBA, NHL, or MLB, they all want a Game 7 because of the money.

The fix was on. The NBA wants a Game 7 for each series, especially with those big names.
  15. My trade also included the 114th pick coming my way.
  16. Ian Kennedy is available for any draft pick I get before 1 AM. The record and ERA aren't attractive, though he has recorded 54 K's in 57.2 innings along with a 4.28 xFIP and 8.43 K/9 so far this season. Any team looking an option for the back end of their rotation, let me know.
  17. Daniel Mengden has been a great find for me from the waiver draft!
  18. Nice deal for BTS. Not much risk on his part and it could be a nice reward for him either later this season or for sure next season IMO.
  19. I tried trading Nico Goodrum in the LOD last month and got laughed at. He's getting some AB's now and is proving to be a decent bat with some pop and speed from 2B.
  20. Rays have a bunch of those type of arms: Austin Pruitt, Ryan Yarbrough, and Matt Andriese. They're No. 5 starters at best and maybe 6th, 7th starters on a contending teams depth chart and aren't good enough to make it through 30 + starts over a full season. Use them only for 3-4 innings starting from the second inning on and they likely have more success. As well, gives the Rays BP like you said more options in multi-inning relievers if you ever need to use them again within those 4-5 days. For example, I'm sure if Andriese gives you 3.1 innings on Saturday out of the pen, I'm sure you can use him again on Monday for Tuesday for 3-6 outs if you need to before you have him go again on the Thursday.
  21. Well I shouldn't have used the word eliminate yes. But rather than starting your worst starter out of the gate, you use them in the 2nd inning on to pitch once through the full lineup and again until the 1-3 bats come up for a second time. If that goes accordingly to plan, that should get you to the 5th-6th inning before you turn to the pen again. Something even the Jays should try with their No. 4-5 starters not being the greatest. I'd like to see Biagini pitch 3+ solid innings from the 2nd inning on where he only faces the top bats in that lineup only once.
  22. 2nd day the Rays are doing this. I'm going to tune into the game today. I'm really curious if this actually works over a long period. Might eliminate the 4th-5th starters of a rotation.
