  1. Seager can still bounce back IMO and would be a great buy low. Plus hitting at the Rogers Centre versus Safeco Field will benefit him more. It's unfortunate he can't go back to playing second base, but would welcome him as a 3B even with Vlad in the fold.
  2. Not in this league though
  3. It's going to be a very tough division agreed, and I wouldn't count out Washington as well. If the Braves or Phillies have some growing pains next season, that could create an opening. The Mets have the pitching (if healthy) to compete. Assembling that type of rotation again down the road will be tough. They could add another infielder either a 3B or shortstop and more BP depth
  4. There was a lot of luck on my side, won't deny that. Sometimes you need that to win a Championship. My team greatly underachieved during the regular season and I just snuck into the playoffs. Looking at my roster on paper, I wasn't your typical 8th place team, so I wouldn't say it was a fluke. My squad got hot at the right time and took care of business in September.
  5. You would think with that pitching staff of deGrom, Syndergaard, Wheeler, and Matz, they would be competitive in the NL East. It all depends on their health. They need to improve their infield and make significant upgrades to the bullpen. An outfield of Cespedes, Conforto, and Nimmo when healthy can be really solid.
  6. I would also like to add that I'm the defending champ in this league!
  7. No Alex Cobb or Shelby Miller?
  8. I would like to make a trade in this league.
  9. Might even be better than the Marlins lol.
  10. I know lol. Add Manny Machado or Bryce Harper and another SP like Patrick Corbin and JA Happ. Boom!
  11. C James McCann 1B Justin Bour 2B Jonathon Schoop 3B Yangervis Solarte SS Chris Owings CF Billy Hamilton RF Robbie Grossman LF Avisail Garcia DH Matt Davidson BN 1B/3B Wilmer Flores BN OF Gorkys Hernandez BN C Caleb Joseph SP Shelby Miller SP Mike Fiers SP Kendall Graveman SP Matt Shoemaker RP Dan Jennings RP Xavier Cedeno RP Blake Parker RP Cory Gearrin RP Alex Wilson CL Brad Boxberger Add another 2-3 decent FA on top of those guys, is that a .500 club?
  12. Shall we trade one non-tendered stud for another?
  13. Even Matt Shoemaker which was weird.
  14. Same with Matt Davidson. Me and Spanky are tied now.
  15. Take away their first round pick as punishment.
  16. I'll hold after winning a Championship last year! Still have a solid young core. Don't want to lose Acuna!
  17. Originally thought it was Clayton Richards lol. Yeah I agree somewhat. You're basically paying 15M for one season of Richards in 2020. If he's healthy and pitches like his previous form, it's definitely worth it, but a lot of risk for a pitcher coming back from TJS and who does have an injury history.
  18. I wouldn't give up Sale.
  19. I picked up Burch Smith in the LOD yesterday.
  20. Looks really nice. Just hopefully they build a nice district around the ballpark with bars and restaurants. Not familiar with Oakland but heard the old ballpark was in a crappy area with nothing around.
  21. K/BB ratio really solid as a reliever. Andrew Miller was also 29 when he had his breakout season out of the bullpen. I think if a team experiments with him as a reliever, could pay nice dividends.
  22. Texas signs Jesse Chavez, 8M over 2 years.

    NBA Thread

As a 12th or 13th player on the roster, give me a break. Not getting sentimental at all.
  24. $2M gamble for Detroit. Still only 29 and is a lefty. Maybe he turns into the next Cliff Lee? Doubt it but a very low risk gamble for Detroit.
  25. Chisenhall signs with Pirates for $2.75 million. Great signing for them.
