  1. Who wants to do a team trade?

If he's not playing, I'm not watching the game.
  3. Heard a lot of Orioles loved playing with him. He's supposed to be a likeable guy in the clubhouse. Still think he's capable of hitting 20-25 HR's. Don't see him being a first choice for a postseason contender, so he might not have many suitors which benefits a team like the Jays. Might see Shapiro and Atkins want to bring in a veteran OF like Jones if he comes at a bargain, similar to them bringing in Curtis Granderson for those same reasons. Might be able to turn him into a future asset at the deadline.
  4. If I'm Garrett Richards, I sign somewhere in the NL like Pittsburgh or in the NL West (except Colorado).
  5. Sabathia won't come to Toronto. Ervin Santana is another option on a one-year contract + incentives.
  6. I don't like Keuchel at 4/80. He's been on the decline every year and don't think he holds up over a 4-5 year deal.

    Can't you take a joke?

I did watch parts of the game last night. I was only joking before lol.
  9. Cleveland must be strapped for cash. Heard they even want to deal EE and maybe one of Kluber or Carrasco. Astros probably didn't want to pay that high AAV on Morton if he accepted. I think he gave the hint that he wanted to retire soon anyways, so he might have accepted the QO. Plus, I'm sure the Astros want to target another arm via free agency or trade and didn't want to commit one of those spots and that much cash to Morton this early in the offseason.
  10. He never really realized his full potential the previous seasons. He's a fantastic two-way player and he'll rack up the hits and blocks. He likely won't be the No. 1 ranked on Yahoo at seasons end lol, but still is more than capable of being a Top 20-25 player in Fantasy Hockey IMO.
  11. A couple of things to reference P2F's post as well: I would move Grichuk to CF, sign a corner OF and trade Pillar. I don't see Harvey signing here in Toronto and to pitch in the AL East. He'll likely sign a one-year contract somewhere like Pittsburgh or San Diego to rebuild his value. Trevor Cahill would seem like a great fit here as a FA pickup. As well, if they could trade for Jon Gray, even better! I would even be open to Sonny Gray for one year if he comes cheap. Other options can be Ervin Santana on a one-year contract + incentives and Drew Pomeranz. I think Pomeranz signs as a SP. He was in Cleveland's system before, so Shapiro and Atkins are familiar with him. As for the BP, I don't think Robertson would sign here. Plus he won't be cheap. Same with Herrera. I could see Cody Allen being a nice pickup on a one-year contract to rebuild his value, and again the Shapiro/Atkins connection might help to lure him to Toronto. Trade Martin to the Dodgers. Could be a possibility with them looking for a catcher and I'm sure they would take on his contract if the Jays lets say took another contract from them (Matt Kemp maybe to play an OF corner and DH).

If he doesn't play tonight against the Lakers, I won't watch.
  13. Gabriel Landeskog No. 1 in the rankings on Yahoo so far this season! The guy is a beast. Very underrated.
  14. Also, would require a team like the Yankees, Red Sox and Rays having bad luck either with injuries, player performances etc. Atlanta was lucky that the Washington Nationals had a down year, Philly faded down the stretch and that the Mets and Marlins sucked.

As long as they ride him hard in the Playoffs, I don't care if he takes a day off when the Raps have back-to-backs during the regular season. If they baby him as well in the Playoffs which I doubt they would do, then I would be pretty pissed.
  16. Also, he's very fragile. Not a guarantee to play 150 games.
  17. His days of being an elite pitcher are over. I don't see him being a Top 5-10 arm in baseball anymore moving forward.
  18. Astros probably don't want to pay him close to 18M for one season if he accepted. Didn't he say he wanted to retire in the next year or so as well? Makes him a more attractive option on the FA market now. He likely get a two-year deal around $30M.
  19. I'd give him more of a chance against LHP and I think playing half of his games at the RC, he could be a 30-HR threat. Plus, he could get on-base somewhat decently, better than Pillar and Grichuk. Pederson is also only 26 as well.
  20. In 2016, he was close to being a 4 WAR player. His platoon splits though are pretty drastic and he is a very streaky hitter. I like Joc Pederson and would welcome him in a Blue Jays uniform, though I don't think he would be worth the asking price in trade. Pretty much we already have a similar outfielder in Randal Grichuk offensively.

DeRozan signed here long term; Lowry signed here long term. If he really likes it here and Toronto offers him a max contract and is in a position to contend for an NBA Title, there is a possibility. Not getting my hopes up though. Playing in Toronto is no different than playing in any other city in the US.

I don't know why he would want to go to lets say a s***** and old team like the Lakers and be second behind LeBron, playing in a far much tougher conference against teams like Golden State, Houston, Utah and Portland. In Toronto or in the East for that matter, it's a much easier path to the Finals that won't be as tolling.

Back-to-back games again. Probably better having him start against Philly tomorrow night rather than a Bucks team without Giannis.
