  1. Agreed its a business. But teams set the prices prior to the season and official ticket prices shouldn't fluctuate during a season because they call-up a certain player etc. If that's the case, when the Blue Jays are far out of contention in June and July, will the box office drop prices then? Steph Curry didn't play in Toronto this year and I was pissed. Raptors should have changed the price for that game, but didn't. The price was set prior to the season and whether Curry was playing or not, that ticket price stayed the same.
  2. 100% agree. The $88 price doesn't bother me if that was the Jays official fixed ticket price set prior to the season. Price fluctuation should only occur on StubHub,Vivid Seats, scalpers etc., not from a teams official ticket sales. That's really taking advantage of the consumer.
  3. It's not like the dynamic pricing with airlines though with sports teams when you buy from their official site, though could be wrong. Dynamic pricing, the prices are set before the season starts based on the day/time and team playing etc. So they should remain the same price throughout the season. Raptors use dynamic pricing as well (e.g. games against Golden State etc. are more expensive than against s***** teams). So if they raised the tickets due to Vladdy's debut, isn't it fair to say that they should lower the ticket prices vs. the Yankees because Judge, Stanton, Frazier, Severino etc. are all injured?
  4. So for example, let's say the Yankees games, which are all priced at high points, but now with everyone injured like Judge, Stanton, Frazier, Hicks, Severino etc, should the Jays lower their prices?
  5. Yeah but they can automatically change the price of a game the day before? The $88 price doesn't bother me if the game was already priced at that before the season started. But changing the price a day prior to the game because Vladdy is being called up?
  6. Blue Jays raised their ticket prices for tomorrow night. Seats in the infield last night when I was looking were $70. Now they're $88.50. Unbelievable.
  7. Still a lot of tickets left on the Jays site. A whole bunch available. For some reason, StubHub prices seem really high. I'm sure once they don't move, prices will drop tomorrow due to the huge availability on the Jays site.
  8. A lot of tickets available on the Jays site still. StubHub prices seem to have spiked. I would pick up a pair tonight from the Jays site before all the good seats get scooped up.
  9. And that's why you don't book movie tickets that far in advance, even if its for the Avengers.
  10. A healthy and productive Matt Shoemaker likely nets the Jays some decent prospects at the trade deadline in July. This is a big blow for the Jays as now they can't cash in this July after Shoemaker's brilliant start.
  11. 4/100? Are you serious? Have you been following the free agent market over the last two years?

Marner is the best player on the Leafs!
  14. Snapped him up in BORED. He's this years version of Jesus Aguilar.
  15. He is one of only three players on the team with a positive WAR (0.3) so far this season. Brad Miller is no All-Star, but compared to some other trash Cleveland was rostering, he probably shouldn't have been DFA.

Glad I sold my Game 1, 2 and 5 tickets for above cost last month. Tickets are going below face value on sites like StubHub, Ticketmaster, Kijijji etc. for Round 1. It's been like that for the last 5 years that I've had season tickets. Likely going to pick up a pair for Game 2 if the prices are really good.

    Dinger was bad luck.
  18. Front page news over MLB.com? I swear this whole Chris Davis hitless streak has been annoying. MLB has been giving Chris Davis more spotlight than some of their best players like Mike Trout, Cody Bellinger, Christian Yelich, and others. MLB sucks at marketing their best talent.

LeBron wants to win now, so I'm sure he'll be open to moving some of the younger players on the Lakers in order to get better in the short term. Anthony Davis is still a possibility, and they could use a good PG whether its Lowry or Irving. I don't see Leonard being a fit in LA to be honest. If Leonard resigns with the Raps, I don't see Masai trading Lowry unless its a really solid return and if Lowry doesn't live up to expectations in the playoffs.

Winning Game 1 is important for them. I think with Leonard, Green and Gasol, this will be a different playoff team than we have seen before. If DeMar was still here, it wouldn't shock me if it took them 6 or 7 games to beat a team like Orlando in Round 1 lol. I say Raps in 5.
