  1. I hope they make the postseason. Such a waste when you can't see players like Trout and Ohtani on the biggest stage in October!
  2. It's still early agreed, but would suck in September if the Jays miss out on the division or wildcard by one game, because of games in May like this. Against division rivals, gotta win this game when numbers heavily in your favour!
  3. He had Angels with him, I saw them. Told George Knox to keep him in there!
  4. He did it. Only 2 K's though lol. Still awesome accomplishment!
  5. Don't jinx it again haha
  6. Cleveland isn't that bad of a city as its made out to be. It's no Toronto yes haha, but it's the team he's known since he was a young player, better ballpark, he doesn't have to cross the border every time and it's a good sports town. Not sure if he lives in Cleveland all year long haha but yeah he still could have demanded more money for sure. Cleveland got lucky!
  7. Great to see Verlander back to his old self! First ballot Hall of Famer for sure. You won't see him arms like him anymore. Enjoy watching guys like Verlander, Scherzer, and Wainwright while you can.
  8. I used to own Wil Myers in this league. Forgot who I traded him for lol.

Great win by the Leafs tonight, but I think they'll be a Game 7.
  10. I would have said earlier, maybe a shorter spring training might have contributed to the downturn in offensive numbers, though that would have been maybe for the first two or three weeks of the season.
  11. I still have that sample bottle from the game haha. The Jays had awesome promos in 2005 and 2006. Whoever was in charge of marketing back then was hilarious!
  12. 2 HR and 8 RBI. Josh Naylor looks like he might have that breakout season!
  13. I like this lineup better now. Tapia batting ninth where he should haha. Blue Jays need to strengthen their bench badly.
  14. Sometimes its best to target failed starters in their late 20's/early 30's, transition them to the bullpen and see what happens. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Scott Downs is the perfect example. The Jays got tremendous value out of him from 2007 to 2010. Combined 4.0 WAR over those 4 seasons. Even look at the Jays with Brett Cecil. Failed starter, looked like he was close to being done in the organization, though instead transitioned him to a BP role and did a solid job from 2013-2016 as a late inning reliever.
  15. I hope when DeGrom returns he could still be the elite arm he was, but it's doubtful. Such a shame because he was the best arm in baseball. Mets always have bad luck with their top arms.
  16. Most of the guys who would have been on the bench or platooning (Grichuk, Drury, Tellez) have been off to great starts. Jays bench is very weak. You'll see it even more when you lose guys like Teo or other big bats to the IL. Majority of the Jays lineup needs to stay healthy or else...
  17. Yeah I know. Nice signing. I think he can be utilized well as a reliever full time. Scotty Downs 2.0 lets hope!
  18. Salazar would be a great pickup to roll the dice on as a reliever. Shocked Shapiro or Atkins haven't targeted him over the last two years. Debenski I think was with Arizona. Not sure if he was released or not. Derek Holland who knows, maybe can turn into the next Scott Downs haha.
  19. Once you get deGrom back and add another elite starter, plus you're team with Acuna, Soto, Franco. You're definitely one of the top contenders for a title IMO.
  20. Still some relievers available on free agency. Sign one or two to a minor league deal and if they pitch well in Buffalo, call them up. Take a gamble on Trevor Rosenthal, Hector Santiago or Chris Devenski. I would even sign a former washed up starter and see what they could do out of the bullpen. Trevor Cahill I think could be a solid BP arm.
  21. Even recently acquiring Trevor Story in the LOD, this was funny!
  22. Brandon Drury raking to start the season! .268/.321/.563 with 5 HR and 15 RBI
