Nope, it's reality. Like I said I used to go to 25-30 games per season. I would take the TTC every night to a game or go to a game after finished at UofT. Now being older, and having other obligations and responsibilities, it's tough for myself to go to 2-3 games per week or to see the amount of games I went to a decade ago. As well, with the cost of everything rising, have to watch my budget more now on how much I spend for entertainment etc. Ticket prices have gone up, cost of eating/drinking at the game and public transit, all adds up. Additionally, would rather save up money to buy Postseason tickets in October or save up money to travel to new ballparks down in the US to see the Jays play rather than watch 25-30 games at the Rogers Centre. I have no issue watching games in the comfort of my own home, eating my own snacks and drinking my own beer. You're in that phase where you feel like you have to go to a majority of the games. I was like that myself as well. It's easier to go a lot of game if you only have school or a teenager with no financial responsibilities or other obligations.

Yeah GO Train is pretty expensive if you're travelling from Hamilton/Burlington or Milton or Oshawa for a RT. Slow trains as well. If you only have 2 or 3 stops on the GO Train to Union, it's not that bad at all. Easier than the TTC and maybe just $1 or so more. Driving downtown isn't worth it anymore. Traffic, congestion + parking will set you back $30-40. Have to factor in the time to get down to the game and the time to get back. On a weeknight, you're likely looking at leaving around 5PM to catch the GO Train or TTC from wherever to get down to the game in time. If you want to go to a bar and eat before the game, need to leave around 4-430PM so you're not rushed eating. Game starts at 7PM, finishes around 9ish/9:30PM. Probably looking at getting home at 11PM if you live outside the city.

I used to go to like 25-30 Blue Jays games per season when I was in university. Had that package of seasons I bought from someone second row behind the away dugout and games I didn't have tickets for would buy $5-10 tickets off scalpers for the 500 level and sit in my friends sections (who were ushers) down in the 200 or 100 level. I now maybe only go to like 2 or 3 at most and try to grab a Postseason game every series. I would now rather sometimes watch the game in the comfort of my own home on my brand new Sony Bravia 65" OLED TV, have my own snacks and drink my own beer. I'm okay with now going to 2 to 3 games per season, and if I go will try to get 200 Level seats around 1B or 3B line which are decent value. Also, would rather save and spend money on Postseason games instead of regular season, unless there is a special team or player I want to see. In terms of other ballparks, I'll try to get really good seats since I'm visiting from out of town, even if it means splurging a bit. But for the most part, tickets for ballparks in the US aren't that expensive if you buy on StubHub before game time.

Yeah considering the Jays are 11-7 with how awful the rotation has looked in the early going, not that bad. Gausman is fine. Bassitt looks like he can be reliable now every 5th day. Lets hope Berrios can start being more consistent. If Kikuchi continues to do what he does, I'm more than fine with that. Manoah needs to figure things out though. Still, the rotation is on thin ice now especially with the way Manoah has looked. Jays lack another elite front of the rotation starter to pair with Gausman. If any starter goes on the IL, especially Gausman for an extended period of time, could get ugly. -
Sad but very true. Also, factor in the cost of food and beverages at these sporting venues, it's absurd. Blue Jays are still probably the most affordable ticket to see a sporting event in Toronto, though ticket prices have been increasing obviously over the years. Also, dynamic pricing based on dates and opponents as well, which is something the Jays never did under Beeston. I remember back in 2009 and for a couple seasons after, I would buy 25 home games from a season seat holder who had seats two rows behind the Away dugout. Would pay $50 for each seat from him. They were awesome seats. I think now the cheapest price for seats like that through the Box Office are $124 each. Not sure what the season seat price is. I could see with the new renovations done behind home plate, each game for sure will be above $150-200 per seat. Again in comparison to getting lower bowl Raptors or Leafs tickets, the average person can't even touch those.

Meh relievers are funny. He can dominate this season and then be awful next.

He was pretty solid with the Rays. I don't think the Phils fixed him. Just found a reliever with success in the past and he's found his previous form with them.

Mark Shapiro has such a brilliant business mind. These are kind of similar in some other ballparks across the US, where they make seats around home plate and the dugouts premium seating areas closed off from other parts. Like in San Fran, San Diego I believe, Cincy and Yankee Stadium. Also, kind of like Platinum seating at the Scotia where Platinum ticket holders get to access the Platinum Club.

Did a $2 four team parlay (Bruins, Hurricanes, Wild and Oilers) which paid $15. Cashed out once the Wild went into OT because I was like ugh, but Oilers/Kings game still going on with the Oilers leading 3-2 haha. So got lucky.
